While traveling home from Stockholm, we had a few minutes before our flight so we stopped into the SAS Lounge here at ARN. We actually stopped into the Amex Lounge here at ARN first, but left pretty quickly as it wasn’t what we expected. I was expecting Centurion and it was closer to generic priority pass lounge. Anyway, the SAS Lounge here at ARN in the Schengen Terminal was comfortable, quiet, and had a solid breakfast buffet.
Bottom Line: The SAS Lounge here at ARN is a great spot to relax before a flight. If you have the ability, do like us, skip the Amex Lounge and head for the SAS Lounge.
SAS Lounge ARN Location

The SAS Lounge here in Stockholm is located in Terminal 5 in the E Gate pier. This is the Schengen departures area so you’ll want to be departing on an Intra-Schengen flight to use this lounge. There is an elevator next to gate E1 that will take you up to the SAS Lounge. In this area there are actually 2 separate lounges, the SAS Lounge and SAS Gold Lounge. We didn’t have time to check out both, even though we had access to both, so we went with the SAS Lounge as it was much less crowded.
SAS Lounge ARN Space

The SAS Lounge is a large L shaped space. When you first walk in, there are lots of high top tables and the buffet section.

Continuing into the lounge there is more seating at a bar top. Not actually a bar though, just a nice place to look out the window or back into the lounge.

Down the long side of the L, there is lower lounge seating. The bathrooms are also down this direction on the left.

We wanted to get a quick breakfast so we grabbed some seats near the buffet.
SAS Lounge ARN Buffet

We’re here at the SAS Lounge at breakfast time so the selection matched that. There was a pretty standard continental cold breakfast with salad, cold cuts, cheese, and yogurt.

The other buffet section had a selection of breads. Behind that there were a few hot options like eggs and porridge.

There was a small selection of cookies and deserts along the back wall. I’m not sure if there are more options during the daytime and into the evening.
SAS Lounge ARN Bar and Drinks

Further down the line, there is a self service selection of draft beer and soft drinks. This being breakfast, I didn’t partake.

Looking the other direction, there is a coffee machine, tea, and then a cute little hot chocolate selection.
SAS Lounge ARN KidsRoom

One little area that I thought was cute was the Kids Room. I thought this was a nice feature to keep kids entertained. This is a win win. Kids are happy, adults are too because the kids are amused in their own little lounge.
SAS Lounge ARN Final Thoughts
The SAS Lounge here at Stockholm is a nice place to pass a few minutes before a flight. This isn’t a destination type lounge, but it’s pleasant and quiet. I liked the layout of the lounge and appreciated the kids room. I do see why the SAS Gold Lounge was more crowded, I think it’s likely nicer.
