For our 2023 Thanksgiving trip, we’re spending some time in Vienna to check out the Christmas Markets and museums. I’ve not been to Vienna before so I wanted to chose a nice central location for our Hotel. The 25 Hours Hotel brand is one that we’ve used before in Copenhagen(Full Review Here) so I kinda knew what to expect here in Vienna.

The 25 Hours Hotel Vienna is a large hotel, but still a little quirky and interesting. For our trip, the 25 Hours was perfect. The rooms were large, the location was convenient, and the rooftop bar was fun. For the price we paid, I was very pleased with our choice in the 25 Hours Hotel.

Bottom Line: 25 Hours Hotels Vienna is a nice hotel in an easy to get to location. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and unique. The staff is friendly and the roof top bar has great views of the city. I’d gladly return.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Location

When I chose a hotel, the location is probably the most important factor for me. The 25 Hours Hotel in Vienna is located in the Museumsquartier of Vienna, a great location to base ourselves for this trip.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna

In the area there are easy connections to the Vienna public transit system of trains, busses, and trams. It’s also a great walking neighborhood for cafes, restaurants, and of course museums. Because it’s late November, we’re also in the neighborhood of several Christmas markets.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Lobby and Check-in

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Lobby

We checked-in to the 25 Hours hotel in the very trendy lobby. For the past few years I’ve been gravitating more towards this style of hotel instead of the more formal and fancy hotel. I think you just get more value for the money.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Lobby

The lobby had a few trendy and quirky items like this pinball machine, unfortunately it was out of order when we visited.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Lobby

There’s a few lounge type siting areas in the lobby too.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Lobby

We didn’t spend too much time down here, our room was ready when we arrived at the hotel so no need to wait around.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Lobby Restaurant

There’s also a full service restaurant in the lobby. They serve Italian here at dinner time but also have breakfast in the mornings. I cannot comment on either, I rarely eat in hotels.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Medium Room Review

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Room

We headed up to our room that’s on the back side of the building. Walking into the room the bed is to the left, windows are straight ahead, the bathroom is to the right.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Room

The rooms here at the 25 Hours Vienna have size names like Medium, Extra Large, and Gigantic. I rarely spring for a room larger than the most basic, here that’s called the Medium. You can request different bed configurations in each of the room sizes. This is the king size bed in the Medium room. There’s plenty of space for two people and their bags.

The wall art here is not boring hotel art that I’ve discussed in the past. The 25 Hours Vienna has interesting and unique art on the walls. I mean, I was not expecting sexy magician’s assistant.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Room

Both sides of the bed had outlets, lamps, and side tables. Perfect for two people to charge their own devices nearby. Both Val and I found the bed to be super comfortable, I loved the pillows too. They used the 2 comforter system that seems to be most popular in Scandinavia, I’m a big fan too.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Room Desk

Opposite of the bed is the desk and TV. I’m not here for work, but there is a small desk and chair that would be more than enough for working. There’s in room dining available too, but we didn’t partake.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Free Mini Bar

Inside the room there’s a free mini bar. How great is that!

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Free Mini Bar

It’s not just sodas and water, there’s a couple beers and some snacks too. I really like the 25 hours brand for little things like this.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Coat Rack

There’s not a true formal closet in the room, over the mini bar there are a few hangers for anything that needs to be hung. But here on the wall there’s also a set of hooks for coats and scarfs. I like this approach, gives more space.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Bathroom Review

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Bathroom

The bathroom at the 25 Hours Vienna was clean and plenty large enough. In the middle of the bathroom is the sink.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Bathroom

To the left is the shower, it’s a standing stall shower without a tub. This one was quiet large but was a little awkward to turn the water on without getting wet.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Bathroom

On the end is the toilet slightly hiding behind a small dividing wall. So not a ton of privacy in here.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Room View

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Room View

The view from the room was not amazing. We’re on the 3rd floor and our room overlooks an interior courtyard. Unlike the 25 Hours Copenhagen, there’s no access to this courtyard. I’m sure the better and more expensive rooms have a nicer view of the city.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Roof Top Bar Dachboden

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Dachboden Rooftop Bar

The 25 Hours Hotel Vienna has a rooftop bar called Dachboden that in the evenings nearly turns into a club. It’s a fun place to get a drink at the end of the night.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Dachboden Rooftop Bar

We found some seats on a sofa near the windows and enjoyed a few drinks after a nice day of exploring. I’m not usually one for Hotel bars, but this was a fun place.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Dachboden Rooftop Bar

Outside there is a rooftop with chairs and tables that would be fantastic to enjoy in better weather. I do think this area would also be great in the winter if they added a few heaters, but I understand that’s not exactly the most energy efficient thing.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Dachboden Rooftop Bar

The view from the roof is just fantastic through. You can see pretty much all of Vienna from up here. I’d highly recommend coming up here, even if it’s just for one drink.

25 Hours Hotel Vienna Museumsquartier Final Thoughts

The 25 Hours Hotel Vienna is a great hotel for people who want to explore Vienna. The location was perfect for us too. I loved the rooms with their very expressive art, comfortable beds, and plenty of space for two people, even in the “Medium” room. The whole hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The roof top bar was a great place to get some drinks and enjoy the view of the city. It’s really hard to beat the value that the 25 Hours Hotel provides. They are a little over the top with trying to be trendy, but it’s still fun. I’d gladly stay here at the 24 Hours Vienna or anywhere really.
