While in Stockholm we stayed for 3 nights at the Nobis Hotel (we also stayed 1 night at the Downtown Camper because I made a mistake when booking our flights, but that’s another review). The Nobis hotel is an extremely polished hotel right in the center of Stockholm. Definitely an old school hotel with all the features and amenities you’d expect from a classic 5 star Establishment. To make things even better, we were upgraded to a suite with an amazing view of the water and Gröna Lund theme park in the distance.

Bottom Line: The Nobis Hotel in Stockholm was perfect. Huge, clean, quite room with Scandinavian charm was perfect for two people. Friendly staff and a great location for exploring the city too.

Nobis Hotel Stockholm Location

The Nobis Hotel in Stockholm is located in Central Stockholm just a few blocks North from the harbor. If you arrive into Stockholm at the central train station either from the Arlanda Express(Full Review) or the SJ train(Full Review here) you’re only a few minute walk away.

Nobis Hotel Stockholm Exterior

Outside the hotel there’s also easy access to the trams and busses that can take you all around Stockholm. If you walk down to the harbor, you can also take the ferry. There are a good number of bars and restaurants in the area, there’s also plenty of high end shopping(that we skip). It’s about a 20 minute walk to Gamla Stan for tourist activities there too.

Nobis Hotel Stockholm King Suite

Nobis Hotel Stockholm King Suite

We walked into our King suite at the Nobis Hotel and I was super happy we chose this hotel. Looking into the room from the door, the bed was to the left.

To the right was a small sitting area with a chair, sofa, and luggage rack. The bathroom door is also on the right.

In the middle there is the TV and small desk. The TV can swivel towards the sofa or bed.

I found the bed extremely comfortable. I also like that in Scandinavia each person usually gets their own comforter instead of just a large one to share. I don’t have to worry about someone stealing all the blankets.

The weather outside was amazing, perfect temperature and breezy so we often opened the windows while getting ready to head out for the day.

Nobis Hotel Stockholm Mini Bar

In the corner of the room, near the closet, there was a mini-bar with paid drinks and snacks. There was also a coffee machine that was included.

Nobis Hotel Stockholm Bathroom

Nobis Hotel Stockholm Bathroom

The bathroom was quite large and covered in marble. There was of course a nice stall shower along with the very interesting sink. Instead of a basin, there was just a ceramic grate that the water flowed through.

Opposite of the shower there was a bathtub. We didn’t use the tub but this would be a great room for traveling with a small child.

At night, with the windows open we had a great view of the city looking south. The harbor is in the distance and we’re right across from a small park.

Nobis Hotel Stockholm Breakfast

Nobis Hotel Stockholm Breakfast

We booked this hotel via American Express and as such we got free breakfast included in the rate. We didn’t go every morning, but the day we did I liked it well enough.

Nobis Hotel Stockholm Breakfast

It was buffet style and featured hot and cold items along with some baked goods.

The hot selection changed each day but not by much. They had a pretty standard american selection of eggs, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. They also had a few Scandinavian items like porridge.

The cold selection was also good with smoked salmon, charcuterie, chease, and fruits.

Nobis Hotel Final Thoughts

Nobis Hotel Stockholm

I loved the Nobis Hotel. It’s an old school property and I enjoyed it. I’m usually a sucker for “newer is better” when it comes to hotels, but Nobis is well maintained and has super cool architecture. I love the classic look of this era of building. The location of the Nobis is great for tourists or business travelers. Easy access to the train station or public transit makes for fast arrivals.

I’m not a huge fan of hotel breakfast but it’s pretty solid here. I wouldn’t pay the asking price, but it’s included with our rate so I didn’t mind going one day. Otherwise I’m more happy getting breakfast outside of the hotel. The best part of the Nobis was our room, and that’s how it should be. Our suite was huge with tons of space for us to spread out. The bed was comfortable and I love the Scandinavian double blanket set. The view we had from the room could not be beat.

I would gladly stay at the Nobis Hotel in Stockholm again.
