We’re visiting Hokkaido as a part of our Japanese vacation. In Sapporo, we chose to stay at the Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel. We spent 3 nights here and thought that was a nice amount of time here in Sapporo. The Solaria hotel is a great place to stay, easy to get to, large rooms, and very clean. There’s nothing over the top about the Solaria hotel, but it’s very solid place to stay for a reasonable price.
Bottom Line: I’d certainly stay at the Solaria here in Sapporo. This is very much a functional hotel rather than a lavish one, but that’s ok. Clean and quiet are the name of the game.
Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Location
The Solaria hotel is located just a few blocks from the Sapporo Central Station. This is a great spot and we were easily able to explore the city on foot or via public transit.

We arrived at the Solaria hotel in the evening. It’s quite understated and we almost walked right by the front door the first time we arrived.
Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel King Room

The king room at the Solaria Hotel is much larger than I was expecting. When walking in there was a table and small sofa to the left, then the bed in the back corner. Opposite the bed there was a TV.

The bed was very comfortable, but there’s no space on the side of the bed so someone is going to need to crawl from the foot if you have two people. There are power outlets of both sides of the bed, even the tight side has a little nook to keep a phone.

Across from the table, there is a mini-fridge and luggage rack. The room also came with a kettle and tea.

The room at the Solaria doesn’t have a true closet, there is a rack for hanging stuff though.
Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Bathroom

The bathroom at the Solaria is tight, but functional. It has two doors that close and meet in the corner. I will note the bathroom is divided into two parts. This half is just the sink and shower. The toilet is across the room on it’s own.

Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Room View

While we had a somewhat large window, there wasn’t a great view for us. Just the back side of a neighboring building.
Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Laundry and Spa

The Solaria Sapporo hotel had separate spas for men and women. Inside there was self service laundry, as we tend to travel light, this was great.
Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Sapporo Final Thoughts
The Solaria Sapporo was a great hotel for us. Super clean and quiet, but almost all hotels in Japan will be like that. The Solaria is more of a business type hotel, but the location is nice for exploring Sapporo, just a few minute walk from the train station. While there weren’t features like a roof top bar, this was a nice hotel.
