Here at HND, Delta operates their only Skyclub outside of the US. In the past there were others, but the HND Skyclub is the only one as of 2024. Before Delta made the move to HND, NRT also had a Skyclub, though I never reviewed it. The Delta HND Skyclub opened in the Summer of 2022 so when we visited, this lounge was open for about 18 months. Our departure from HND was the last Delta flight of the day so the lounge was nice and quite, plenty of space for us to relax.

Bottom Line: The Delta Skyclub here at HND is great. It might be the best Skyclub that Delta operates. It’s large, clean, and comfortable. The food on offer is a step above the fare at other Delta Skyclubs. If you have the ability and time, this is a great lounge.

Delta HND Skyclub Location

Delta HND Skyclub Location

Delta uses Terminal 3 here at HND. To get to the Delta Skyclub, after passing security and passport control, walk towards Gate 114. There are a set of escalators and signage directing you towards the 5th floor.

Delta HND Skyclub Entrance

On the 5th floor, the entrance to the Skyclub is well marked and looks great.

Delta HND Skyclub Space

Delta HND Skyclub Lounge Space

The Delta Skyclub at HND is one large room that has the bar and buffet on the back wall, then two outer walls have windows that overlook the aircraft outside.

Delta HND Skyclub Lounge Space

While the lounge is one large room, it’s somewhat divided into different segments. This is mostly done using furniture to differentiate the spaces.

Delta HND Skyclub Lounge Space

Looking down the length of the lounge. The majority of the seating is down this direction towards the left. The bar is directly to my right. The buffet is along the wall on the right.

Delta HND Skyclub Lounge Space

Lot’s of different types of seating. Some, I’d say, isn’t particularly functional though.

Delta HND Skyclub Lounge Space

There’s sofa type seating for lounging, high top bars that are great for eating or working, and comfy chairs by the windows for plane watching. All of them have tables and power for charging devices.

Delta HND Skyclub Lounge Space

At the end of the lounge the seating continues and the bathrooms are against the back wall.

Delta HND Skyclub Lounge Space

This was my favorite area. It’s about halfway down the lounge. There’s a nice bartop to sit at, but it’s facing the windows so I got a great view outside.

Delta HND Skyclub Buffet

Delta HND Skyclub Buffet

Along the back wall there is a buffet with both hot and cold options. I would say the selection and quality offered is better than any other Delta Skyclub I’ve visited.

Delta HND Skyclub Buffet

There’s both Western and Japanese food offered.

Delta HND Skyclub Buffet

Val had some of these rolls and reported they are good, but there’s obviously better in Japan.

Delta HND Skyclub Buffet

The lounge was not busy when we visited and the buffet was always well stocked. I don’t think I ever saw an empty serving dish.

Delta HND Skyclub Buffet

There are hot options available, neither Val or I went for them during this visit.

Delta HND Skyclub Drinks and Beer Machine

Delta HND Skyclub Drinks

The Skyclub has a self service soft drinks area with hot and cold beverages.

Delta HND Skyclub Beer Machine

A Japan Skyclub favorite, even from the NRT days, is the self service beer machine. These can be found all over Japan, in casual type restaurants. You insert your glass, press a button, and it will dispense a perfectly poured beer. There’s of course a full service bar, but I stuck to beer.

Delta HND Skyclub Ramen Bar

Delta HND Skyclub Ramen Bar

Between the bar and the buffet there is a cooked to order ramen station. They have a few different options on the menu.

Delta HND Skyclub Ramen Bar

The process is pretty normal, you order some ramen, I was given a buzzer. When it goes off, you go collect your meal.

Delta HND Skyclub Ramen Bar

I went for the spicy tonkotsu ramen. This is my favorite type of ramen and one I’ve been eating all over Japan for the last 10 days.

Delta HND Skyclub Drinks and Snacks

At my seat I enjoyed my ramen and a Japanese beer. This is the primary reason I like this seat, I can have a hot soup with a view, and I don’t have to spill on myself.

Delta HND Skyclub Desert Cart

Delta HND Skyclub Desert Cart

With perfect timing, as I was finishing my ramen, an attendant rolled up with a desert cart loaded with cream-filled croissants, tea, and coffee.

Delta HND Skyclub Desert Cart

I had a hot tea to drink, and I gladly accepted some desert.

Delta HND Skyclub View

Delta HND Skyclub View

The HND Skyclub has a great view of the aircraft outside. There are so few seats in the lounge that don’t have a view, but some are better than others.

Delta HND Skyclub Final Thoughts

The HND Skyclub is a great lounge, it might be the best Skyclub in the system. The whole experience is rock solid. Not crowded, lots of seating, great views. The lounge is clean and super well staffed. My favorite parts are the cooked to order ramen and the beer dispensing machine.

The only thing missing from the Skyclub is an outdoor space. That’s become one of my favorite features at modern lounges and I kinda miss it here at HND.

If you have the opportunity, visit the HND Skyclub, it’s worth the trek upstairs.
