Continuing our November trip to Europe, we’re staying down in Sinsheim Germany so that we can visit both the Sinsheim and Speyer Technik Museums. We’re staying at Hotel Sinsheim right across from the Sinsheim Technik Musuem. Unsurprisingly the Hotel Sinsheim has a good relationship with the Technik Museum.

If you’re planning on visiting the Sinsheim Technik Musuem, the Hotel Sinsheim is a great choice. We enjoyed staying here, even if it was just a single night.

Bottom Line: The Hotel Sinsheim is a modern, clean, and comfortable place to stay a night before or after exploring the Sinsheim Technik Musuem. I can fully recommend Hotel Sinsheim.

Hotel Sinsheim Location

Hotel Sinsheim is located literally across the street from the Sinsheim Technik Musuem. Let’s be honest, that’s the reason you’d stay at this hotel. And for the purpose of visiting the musuem, it’s the best hotel. This part of Sinsheim is not exactly in the city center, so in the area there’s not too much going on. A few fast food options, a bar, restaurant, and gas station complete the local area.

To get here, we rented a car and drove here from the Frankfurt Airport, it’s about an 90 minute drive. There’s plenty of parking outside the Hotel Sinsheim. You could take a train if you wanted, the train station is only about 300m away.

Hotel Sinsheim Lobby and Check-in

We arrived at the Hotel Sinsheim in the late evening and checked in at the front desk. Unfortunately because we arrived so late the bar and restaurant were both already closed.

It was a bummer because I could really go for a beer and some french fries. It also looked like a nice place to relax for a little bit.

Out back, there is a cool patio that in better weather is open as part of the bar and restaurant. Note: I took this photo in the morning.

The lobby had some interesting art displays related to the museum. I’m a big nerd and I’m excited to explore tomorrow.

Hotel Sinsheim Superior Room Review

I chose the Superior room here at Hotel Sinsheim. This is the cheapest category of room, I chose it because we’re only here one night before going to the museum.

The bed at Hotel Sinsheim was great, but is two beds pushed together with individual comforters. I like the separate comforters that are provided in some parts of Europe. I also really liked this bed, it was super firm and just my style.

Next to each side of the bed was an end table along with reading lights and power to charge devices. I really do feel this is a necessity for any modern hotel room.

Next to the window were a set of chairs along with a small table. The room as a whole is not very large, but is plenty for two people and their luggage.

Across from the bed was the TV. Again, nothing fancy, just what you need to for a night before heading to the museum.

Below the TV is the mini bar along with a few drawers. There’s also a desk top that could be used if you needed to get a little work done, but not for me this trip!

Moving towards the door, there is a luggage rack along with the closet. The furniture in the room is very clean and functional.

Hotel Sinsheim Mini Bar

The room at Hotel Sinsheim had a mini bar with a few beers, soda, juice and some snacks. These are not included in the room price.

Hotel Sinsheim Mini Bar menu. The prices were reasonable, in my opinion.

Hotel Sinsheim Superior Bathroom

Just like the rest of the room, the bathroom was clean and functional. Nothing too fancy here, just all the things we needed for a quick night stopover. The bathroom was quite large so plenty of space for two people to get ready in the morning.

Hotel Sinsheim Complementary Water and Snacks

On each night stand there was a little pack of gummy bears. While I much prefer chocolate, I’ll certainly munch on some gummy bears.

In the room there was also a complimentary bottle of mineral water. So while there were paid items in the Mini Bar, they also gave free water.

Hotel Sinsheim Room View

The next morning we got a view from our room. As you can see, there’s not a whole lot going on here. This is a somewhat industrial part of town, the main draw would certainly be the musuem.

Hotel Sinsheim Final Thoughts

It might seem like we’re crazy people for going to this far out of the way just to visit 2 museums. If you’re like Val and myself, and you really want to visit the the Sinsheim Technik Museum, the Hotel Sinsheim is the best choice. Hands down, there’s not going to be a better way to see the museum and get there nice and early.

The Hotel Sinsheim is a great hotel. The The rooms are large and clean. The bathroom and furniture are both modern and comfortable. I really like the separate comforters on the bed, but not the separate mattresses. If you drive, like we did, there’s plenty of free parking surrounding the hotel, but that’s about it, this part of town is the museum and that’s about it for tourists.
