I was initially going to include this review in my trip home from Las Vegas flight trip report, but I decided to make it stand alone as that trip report was getting a little long.

I’m a big fan of Centurion Lounges in general. It’s a great program that Amex does a fantastic job with. They are some of the nicest lounges and most consistent across the brand. Priority Pass lounges tend to be kinda shit. Most of them in the US I won’t even bother going out of my way. Centurion is different, they are great lounges and except for some crowding issues, they are great.

Centurion LAS Location

LAS Airport Centurion Location

The Centurion Lounge Las Vegas is in the D Concourse right next to the D4 gate. American and Delta are the largest users of the D Concourse, so if you’re flying one of those airlines you’ll be nearby. If you’re flying from one of the other concourses you can get to the D Concourse using the post-security train. Just leave yourself a few extra minutes to reach the lounge and your gate.

Check in is easy, just show an Amex Platinum card, ID, and Boarding pass.

Centurion LAS Seating

LAS Airport Centurion Seating

The Las Vegas Centurion has lots of types of seating. Most of which are shown here. There are some comfortable chairs against the wall, a few sofas, some low top tables and chairs, and then in other areas some high tops.

There are a lot of seating areas and the lounge is well decorated. It is divided up into several spaces all with a slightly feel.

There is a quite room that can be used to take a conference call to handle some private business. I really like this idea, especially in the time of remote work, it’s nice to have some privacy and to keep noisy conversations isolated. There are also some self service beverage stations, great for a quick coffee in the morning.

Another small sitting area has some low top tables along with several televisions. I’m not really one to watch TV in an airport or lounge. I don’t care for watching 24 hour news and outside of sports, that’s usually all that’s shown. Every once in a while it will be a cooking show, and I enjoy cooking, but that’s pretty rare.

More private work rooms along with the dining area. The bar and buffet are in the back along with plenty of seating. There are plenty of departure screens so that you hopefully won’t miss a flight. Down the hall is the shower room, it’s 7:30 and I just showered at the hotel so no need today, but after a long red-eye flight, an airport shower is a great feeling.

Centurion LAS Buffet

LAS Airport Centurion Buffet

The buffet is well stocked. This was the breakfast spread, eggs and potato hash are the hot options. There cold choices were yoghurt and plenty of sliced fruit. Plenty of cereals and pastries were also on offer.

This was my breakfast selection on my morning flight. Nothing fancy but was easily enough for a meal before my flight. I don’t go to lounges expecting fine dining, but the Centurion is pretty close to a meal. They have real plate ware, silverware, and glasses. This is better than most other lounges offer. There is also a full bar, but being 7:30 in the morning, I’ll pass.

Centurion LAS View

LAS Airport Centurion View

There are plenty of seats with a great view of outside. Unfortunately this early in the morning the shades are drawn to keep out the low morning sun. Later in the day the shades will be raised and the view can be seen from most of the lounge.

Final Thoughts

The Las Vegas Centurion is a great lounge. When I visited early in the morning it was not busy, it was a great place to relax and eat a quick breakfast before a flight back east. The Wifi was good and I used it do download a few podcasts before my flight. While I didn’t partake this early in the morning, the bar offerings at the Centurion Lounge are excellent.

With the great amenities provided and friendly staff I’m a big fan of this location. It’s also nice because so many lounges don’t have enough space or a view, this lounge has both. Centurion Lounges are some of the nicest in most airports, that’s certainly the case here at Las Vegas.

All in, I’d be glad to visit again.
