After arriving into to Copenhagen on SAS’s Business Class Val and I headed to the NH Collection Hotel Copenhagen. I chose the NH Hotel because it’s location and price. I really wanted to stay at the 71 Nyhavn Hotel (Full Review) or 25 Hours Hotel (Full Review) but the prices we’re crazy high so I went with the NH Hotel. That ended up being just fine, I enjoyed the NH very much.

Bottom Line: The NH Collection Hotel Copenhagen is a great hotel, but isn’t a neighborhood boutique, it’s more business professional. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the location is easy to walk to public transit or into the city center, and I’d gladly stay there again. (but I’d check the 71 Nyhavn and 25 hours first)

NH Collection Copenhagen Location

NH Collection Copenhagen is located in the Christianshavn neighborhood of Copenhagen. This is a great area with lots of bars, restaurants, and hotels. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the metro station that can take you to the airport in about 10 minutes. As a side note, CPH is great for getting into the city, it’s super easy and cheap on the M2 train.

NH Collection Copenhagen Exterior

The entrance to the NH is on the opposite side of the building from the river. Getting around Copenhagen is really easy, in fact it might be the most easy city in the world to get around(in my opinion) and this is a great location for walking.

NH Collection Copenhagen Lobby and Check In

NH Collection Copenhagen Lobby

The NH lobby is large and modern. It’s also a little sterile but I think that’s what they’re going for. This is a large corporate hotel, they want a professional look. There is a bar and restaurant here in the lobby, we didn’t try either.

We checked in at the front desk, we got here early from our red-eye. They offered us a two twin bed room as that’s all they had at the time, but we declined and went for some brunch. They texted me about 90 minutes later that a king room was available.

We headed upstairs to our king room at the NH Copenhagen. The room was less sterile that I was expecting and that’s a good thing.

NH Collection Copenhagen King Room

I thought the bed at the NH Copenhagen was super comfortable. I also like they gave us 3 pillow each.

Each side of the bed had controls for the lights and outlets to charge devices.

Opposite from the bed was the TV, chair, and a small table. We didn’t really use the table for much other than collecting stuff though.

Looking over the NH king bedroom towards the window. As you’d expect in Scandinavia, the NH Collection rooms are simple and clean.

Looking back towards the door from the far side of the room. I liked how big the room at the NH Hotel is. There’s a lot of space for two people and their luggage on the ottoman and closet.

NH Collection Copenhagen Coffee and Mini-Bar

The room had a mini fridge and coffee making facilities.

Nothing fancy but more than enough to get Val going in the morning before we headed out to a real breakfast.

NH Collection Copenhagen Bathroom

NH Collection Copenhagen King Bathroom

I thought the bathroom at the NH Copenhagen was great. Nice and clean with lots of space. One thing to keep in mind, the light controls for the bathroom/bedroom take a little bit of time to get accustomed too.

NH Collection Copenhagen King Bathroom

The bathroom was well stocked with towels and robes. I’m not much of a robe person, but when we’re on vacation Val loves them.

NH Collection Copenhagen King Bathroom

The shower at the NH Copenhagen was great. I much prefer a shower than a tub when at a Hotel.

NU Collection Copenhagen Room View

Our room at the NH was facing to the East looking over Christianshavn. You can just see the top of Vor Frelsers Kirke sticking over the buildings.

NH Collection Copenhagen Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed our stay at the NH Collection Copenhagen. The hotel itself is very nice, but also business like. When on vacation I usually look for smaller properties with unique features, the NH isn’t that. But that’s ok, it’s still a great hotel.

The location is really what sells if for me. There’s a Metro stop just 2 blocks away and a bus stop right across the street from the NH Copenhagen. You can also walk to many Copenhagen attractions without needing to use transit.

I would gladly stay at the NH Collection Copenhagen, but only if it was cheaper than the 71 Nyhavn Hotel (Full Review) or 25 Hours Hotel (Full Review).
