As our last stop in our winter trip to Europe, we’re spending a few days in Frankfurt before flying home. I had some Marriott points to burn, so I chose the LUME Boutique Hotel. When looking for hotels, I prefer smaller properties in convenient locations. The LUME is exactly that, a new property, near the train station, and convenient to bars, restaurants, and transit.
The LUME Hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet. To me, that’s as good as it gets. I was impressed with the level of fixtures and fittings in the rooms. This is clearly a higher end property and it shows in all levels of service.
Bottom Line: The LUME Hotel in Frankfurt was perfect choice for a few days in Frankfurt. It’s near the train station so getting here is easy, but it’s a little bit of a business district. I’d gladly say here again, but only if it’s a points booking, the cash price is a little high.
LUME Boutique Hotel Frankfurt Location
The LUME hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the Frankfurt train station. Getting here from the FRA Airport is easy on the train, or you can take a bus and tram. In the area there are tons of bars, restaurants, and shops. This is more of a business district than residential neighborhood.

The LUME Hotel is located on a very quiet street just behind the English Theater here in Frankfurt.
LUME Boutique Hotel Frankfurt Lobby

The Lobby of the LUME is very well appointed. It’s the usual selection of stone and brass around and the front desk is on the left.

On the opposite side there is a concierge desk and small meeting room. The lobby was never crowded and the staff was around if we had questions or needed anything.
LUME Boutique Hotel Frankfurt King Room Review

We were given the key to our room and took the stairs up. We’re on the 3rd floor at the end of a nice quiet hallway. The room layout at the LUME Hotel is simple but functional. On the right is the bathroom, into the room the bed is on the right. The left has the TV stand, luggage rack, fridge, and coffee maker.

The bed does take up the majority of the room, but it was extremely comfortable, I really enjoyed the pillows. Both sides of the bed there is power to charge devices. There are also controls for the lights next to the bed.

In the corner of the room there is a chair and wardrobe. The room doesn’t have a true closet, not an issue for us, we travel very light.

In front of the bed there is the TV and desk below.

There’s a Nespresso and pods included. Val likes these to get a quick coffee in the morning before breakfast.

In the cabinet there is a mini-bar with a few soft drinks and then some beers. The menu with prices is here: https://lumeboutiquehotel.com/minibarkarte/
LUME Boutique Hotel Frankfurt Bathroom

So this is a little odd, but there’s a window between the bedroom and the bathroom. It does make the room feel larger, but it’s a little odd when you have two people in the room. These seem to be somewhat common these days and the LUME Hotel has followed that trend. There are blinds, they are electronically controlled from inside the bathroom.

The bathroom itself is very nice. Lots of marble, glass, and brass. The floors were also heated, it’s pretty nice in the winters to have warm feet.

The toilet is a standard European wall mounted fixture. But remember to close the blinds before sitting down, the blinds switch is on the opposite wall next to the mirror.
LUME Hotel Final Thoughts
The LUME Hotel here in Frankfurt was a great place to stay for a few nights. Right next to the train station and there’s plenty of other transit options like the U-Bahn(Subway), Trams, and busses. In the area there are also restaurants, shops, and bars. Just know, this area is more business focused.
Like the rest of the hotel, the LUME rooms are really well appointed. The whole hotel is clean, comfortable, and quiet. I really liked the wood floors in the room. In the winter it’s very comfortable along with the heated bathroom floor.
I’d gladly stay here again, but like I said before we used points for this stay. I think the cash price is a little high, but it’s certainly a high end property.
