Continuing our US Thanksgiving trip, we’re heading to Vilnius Lithuania! Here in Vilnius we are staying at the Artagonist Hotel. The Artagonist hotel is a small boutique hotel in the center of Vilnius Old Town. I’ve had great luck with little independent hotels throughout small towns in Europe and the Artagonist was no exception. In fact, it is one of my favorite hotels that I stayed at in 2023.

Bottom Line: The Artagonist Hotel in Vilnius is quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and the location is perfect for visiting Vilnius’ Old Town. I regret we only stayed one night, I would have loved to stay longer.

Artagonist Hotel Vilnius Location

I chose the Artagonist almost exclusively because of it’s location. Obviously it had good reviews elsewhere too. It’s in a great spot to explore Old Town, but also to walk towards the more modern city center area. Within a few minute walk there are a ton of resteraunts, shops, cafes, and bars. There’s even a Lithuanian bagel shop right around the corner.

Artagonist Hotel Street

The only down side to this location is the lack of busses through this part of town. It’s old and narrow but in the November snow, it was just perfect.

Artagonist Hotel Vilnius Lobby and Check-in

Artagonist Hotel Lobby

The Artagonist Hotel is small hotel and the lobby matches. Here on the first floor there is the front desk in the back of the lobby. We checked in and the super friendly desk agent told us about the hotel.

In the front of the hotel there is a small bar area.

This area also has a spiral staircase down to the basement level where there is breakfast in the mornings. We didn’t take part in breakfast, early flight the next day.

The lobby is a pretty cool space though. It’s an atrium that makes up the entire height of the building.

Artagonist Hotel Vilnius Queen Bedroom Review

Artagonist Hotel King Bed Review

We walked into our king bedroom on the top floor of the hotel. My first impression was really good, like shockingly good. The room is large, clean, and well kept.

Artagonist Hotel King Bed Review

The bed is nestled under the roof-line of the building. It makes the room feel really cozy even though it has very modern outfitting. Both sides of the bed have night stands, reading lamps, and outlets to charge devices.

I really liked this bed, it was pretty firm and I like that, Val’s not a huge fan though. We both liked the pillows as they were huge and fluffy.

Opposite of the bed is a single unit TV stand and desk.

To the right of the desk and near the door there was a clothes stand and closet area. I like units like this instead of a true closet. It allows us to hang up our coats and stuff without having a full size closet taking up room space.

Artagonist Hotel Room View

There’s a cute little dormer window over the roofline too. We had great weather while in Vilnius so it was nice to have some sunlight in our room.

It’s a great view out of the little dormer window too. Looking out over the rooftops of Old Town Vilnius is a lot of fun.

Artagonist Hotel Vilnius Bathroom Review

Artagonist Hotel Bathroom

The Artagonist Hotel Vilnius bathroom was immaculate. I loved how absolutely modern, but still warm feeling the Artagonist is.

Artagonist Hotel Vilnius Final Thoughts

Artagonist Hotel

The Artagonist Hotel Vilnius really does a great job of blending modern with cozy. It’s almost Scandinavian in design, but really, I think that’s just Modern Baltic. I’m not sure if “Modern Baltic” is a thing, but I’m going with it. I loved the Artagonist’s location, staff, and comfort.

I do really regret that we didn’t stay longer in Vilnius at the Artogonist. Both the city and hotel were fantastic to us. This is one of my favorite hotels that I visited in 2023. Of course I would stay here again.
