On our trip to Vienna we stopped in Frankfurt on a layover. During this stop we visited the Lufthansa Panorama Lounge in FRA Terminal 1 Concourse A. This is a business class lounge that we have access to due to our business class flights on Lufthansa. The Panorama Lounge is a little odd, the layout is very segmented and feels somewhat worn.

Bottom Line: The FRA Lufthansa Panorama Lounge is large, has decent food, and is clean enough. I’m just not sure I liked it. I would probably check out the other FRA Lufthansa Business Class Lounges before returning.

Lufthansa Panorama Lounge FRA Location

Lufthansa Panorama Lounge FRA Location

The Lufthansa Panorama Lounge is located in the FRA Terminal 1, Concourse A near gate A26. It’s set down a little bit of an alcove but not hard to find. This is in the Schengen area, so would only be for passengers on intra-Schengen flights, not those who are traveling on an “international” departure.

The Lufthansa Panorama Lounge is divided into lots of different spaces. When you enter the lounge, to the right is the main dining area along with lots of seating. This area of the lounge also has great views of the planes passing by.

To the left of the entrance is a corridor with lots of smaller rooms dotted along the hall.

All of these rooms where somewhat similar, a few chairs or tables that looked out over the airfield. These were not very busy, but you would be sharing this space with someone.

We settled into the main area with the buffet.

In the main seating area of the Panorama Lounge, there is a well kept buffet. Starting from the left there are a selection of breads. The kase pretzel was pretty good.

Next was a cold salad selection. Nothing over the top.

The end of the buffet has a selection of hot dishes, soups, and desert. Today it was meatballs and spaetzle. This is the lunch offering.

I made myself a small plate. I was a little hungry as I skipped breakfast on our arrival flight into FRA. The Panorama Lounge food was adequate, nothing amazing, I did like the meatballs though.

Lufthansa Panorama Lounge FRA Self Service Bar

Lufthansa Panorama Lounge FRA Bar

There’s a selection of hot and cold drinks that are all self service. There’s also beer, wine, liquor, and soft drinks.

The coffee machine was a make it yourself style.

And then along the back wall was the liquor selection. I liked that it was all self service and had decent selection of mid tier well drinks.

Scattered around the Panorama Lounge are little snack areas. They have some drinks, sandwiches, and snacks available so you don’t need to go into the main area just for a refill.

Lufthansa Panorama Lounge FRA Bathroom

The bathrooms were very clean but a little out of date. Nothing to complain about though here at the Panorama Lounge.

Lufthansa Panorama Lounge FRA Showers

On a re-visit to the Panorama Lounge here in Frankfort, I wanted to grab a quick shower after our arriving flight from the US. I added my name to the wait list. A few minutes later it was my turn and I headed to take a shower.

The shower rooms are very nice. They are also well stocked with fresh towels, toiletries, and amenities. While there was a wait to use the shower, I would highly recommend it. It’s one of the highlights of the Panorama Lounge.

Lufthansa Panorama Lounge FRA Final Thoughts

We checked out the Panorama Lounge on our connection heading to Vienna. We were here for about 90 minutes to grab a snack and drink before heading on our next flight. Being in the Intra-Schengen area, this lounge is only for passengers flying in that area.

I liked the Panorama Lounge well enough, but it’s starting to show some age. It’s still well maintained, but ageing. The buffet options are good enough for a light snack, but if you wanted could be a full meal. The self service bar selection was very good, especially the liquor options. The shower is certainly a great benefit and one that I love in a lounge.

The Panorama Lounge isn’t amazing, but is good enough. I’d probably check out some other of the Lufthansa lounges here at Frankfurt before returning to the Panorama Lounge.
