Hotel Review: Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Cookeville Tennessee. So this isn’t a hotel review or stay that I was expecting. I was planning on traveling home, however I unexpectedly need to stay another night in Cookeville. Earlier This week I’ve been at the excellent Towneplace Suites Cookeville that I reviewed previously.

I really wanted to just extend my stay at the Towneplace however they had very expensive rates for the extra night I needed. So I decided to move across the parking lot to the Fairfield Cookeville. It was a good bit cheaper and for one night I didn’t really care. For those keeping track, this is the 3rd hotel that I’ve reviewed in Cookeville Tennessee when including the Hampton Inn. No one else brings you kinda boring hotel reviews like that.

Anyway, let’s get into the Fairfield Inn Cookeville Review.

Fairfield Inn Cookeville Tennessee Location

Like I said before, The Fairfield is right across the parking lot from the Towneplace. This location is fine for those just needing a night off I40.

Fairfield Inn Cookeville Lobby and Check-in Review

I walked into the Fairfield Cookeville lobby and waited my turn to check-in. Marriott really needs to up their app game. Hilton really is head and shoulders better in that regard. To the back was the sitting area for breakfast.

Behind was a “Business Library.” Seems a little silly these days to have areas like this in hotels. Check in was at least fast and easy.

After getting my key I found my way to the 3rd floor where my room was.

Fairfield Inn Cookeville Room Review

I walked into a pretty unremarkable room. Not dirty or anything, just very bland.

I had a single king size bed. There are plenty of outlets in the lamp bases to keep devices charged and close. But the furniture at the Fairfield Cookeville is defiantly showing some age.

There was a microwave and fridge. Alongside that was also a desk, yes, that’s another late night Taco Bell dinner for me. It was late, I’m tired, and am spending another night away, don’t judge.

There was also a TV and stand. Again not fancy and getting a little up there in age.

To the right of the bed here at the Fairfield Cookeville is a closet. I didn’t need to hang anything tonight.

Fairfield Inn Cookeville Bathroom Review

The bathroom at the Fairfield Cookeville was really not it’s strong suite. Not dirty or broken, just not modern or pleasant.

These style of sinks just didn’t age well. They always just feel old, even when they are brand new.

And there’s a standard tub shower. All in, very meh, but serviceable for the single night.

Fairfield Inn Cookeville Final Thoughts

Meh, that about sums up the Fairfield Inn Cookeville. After coming from the Townplace Suites, this Fairfield is not great. Even the Hampton Inn was much nicer and I would gladly stay at one of those before the Fairfield again.

The Fairfield Inn Cookeville is just an older hotel that needs some love. I’m glad it was cheap, it needed to be to compete with the other offerings in the area. I would probably not stay here again, unless it’s a single night and was really inexpensive.
