Welcome to Huber Heights Ohio, in February, during a snow storm. Yep, this is pretty low on the excitement meter. This hotel is perfectly adequate. Clean, new, but in the middle of nowhere.

Rose Music Center at The Heights is an outdoor music venue next door, but it being 12f outside, it’s closed. However if you are going to a concert, it would be a great place to sleep off a few beers after a show.

Here’s the hotel on a snowy night. It’s a pretty standard “just off the freeway” hotel in central Ohio.

The room was perfectly acceptable. 2 queens was cheaper so I saved my company a few bucks.

Desk with my “welcome” kit.

Mini Fridge and luggage shelf. It’s nice to have the fridge for leftovers.

No closet in this room, but there were plenty of hooks and a few clothes hangers(opposite wall, not shown). I like these hook walls but Tru could add a few more. Especially for a room that could hold 4 people.

Nice easy to use thermostat. Stupid, but I like this.

Plenty of outlets and an alarm clock. Though these were the only outlets near the beds. So if you have more than one person per bed, the far side sleeper will be away from his/her device while charging, the horror.

The bed was perfectly comfortable.

Very serviceable bathroom. Nothing fancy.

It did have a nice glassed-in, stall shower. I much prefer that to a tub and shower curtain. Note, they don’t have individual toiletries. I don’t really care, but I do like bar soap instead of liquid. It’s 2 days, I’ll live.

The breakfast selection was pretty good. I had Cheerios and a banana because I’m kinda boring.

This hotel is trying to be very hip. It succeeds in a lower cost, central Ohio kinda way. It’s no Moxy East Village, but it’s perfectly serviceable for $88+tax.

Gross… But at the end of the day, Tru by Hilton is more than adequate. I’ve stayed at a couple of them and I’ll use them again.
