Hotel Review: OKKO Hotel Nice Airport is a hotel right next to the NCE Nice Airport. We booked this hotel because we’re going to the Monaco Gran Prix and it was a somewhat late decision for us to add this portion of the trip. We arrived in Nice and would be departing just 2 days later so I wanted to be near the Airport. The rates at the OKKO were also much better than anything in Nice and because we’re not going to visit Nice, it didn’t seem worth the price premium.

The OKKO Nice Airport Hotel ended up being a great hotel for this portion of the trip. The hotel was clean and quiet. There’s an upstairs bar and lounge area too where breakfast is served and in the evenings is a bar. We both really enjoyed this hotel, anyway, let’s get into the review.

OKKO Hotel Nice Location

OKKO Hotel Location

The OKKO hotel in Nice is only a few hundred meters from the NCE airport. While you could probably walk here from the airport terminal, I wouldn’t recommend it. Also, the Nice Tram runs from both NCE Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to Grand Arenas for free. This stop is less than a 2 minute walk from the OKKO Hotel.

OKKO Hotel Saint Augustin Train Station

About a 4 minute walk is the Saint Augustin Nice train station. This train station can take you all along the Cote d’Azue. If you’re going to Nice, the Tram is a better option, but if you’re going places like Monaco or Antibes the train is the best option.

OKKO Hotel Check-in

OKKO Hotel Exterior

The OKKO Hotel entrance faces the train station and is an easy walk from the train or tram. The check-in desk is on the top floor so once inside the hotel, you take the elevator to the very top and the check in desk is right there.

We checked in and they showed us the lounge area and told us of the amenities. We then went down to our room.

OKKO Hotel Nice Room Review

OKKO Hotel Bedroom Single Bed

We walked into our single bed room at the OKKO and we were very pleased. First impressions are very good and while not a huge room, it was more than adequate for two people and our things. I found the bed to be very comfortable, Val likes a little bit softer of a mattress and this was a little on the firm side.

OKKO Hotel Bedroom TV

Across from the bed is the TV and a small cabinet.

OKKO Hotel Bedroom Closet

Inside is a safe, cloths hangers, and a Nespresso machine.

OKKO Hotel Bedroom

Next to the bed is a small chair, a luggage rack and then both sides of the bed had plenty of outlets and an induvial lamp. There was also a wireless charger that was nice to use instead of plugging our phones into the USB or 220v outlets.

OKKO Hotel Desk

Along the wall was this cute little fold out desk. Instead of taking up room space with a desk that most people wont use, they have this smaller option. I like this idea, as we didn’t need a desk.

OKKO Hotel Nice Bathroom Review

OKKO Hotel Bathroom

The bathroom at the OKKO hotel is somewhat in the bedroom however it is partitioned away from the bed with a lattice wall.

The bathroom area itself was extremely nice. I enjoyed the shower and it was very clean. The whole room was.

OKKO Hotel Bathroom

The toilet was in it’s own area with a fully private door so that’s extremely nice.

OKKO Hotel Room Partition

Here’s a view of the shower from sitting on the bed. Obviously you don’t get a ton of privacy so this isn’t a great hotel to stay at with your mother.

OKKO Hotel room view

Our view was nothing amazing, just an office park and the train tracks.

OKKO Hotel Nice Lounge

OKKO Hotel Lounge Bar

While I’m not usually one to drink and eat at hotels, the area the OKKO hotel is in, doesn’t have a ton of bars and restaurants. Is a small business park with a shopping mall. So the first night we just went up to the OKKO bar and had some drinks and dinner. We were tired after a long day of travel and enjoyed the drinks and food.

OKKO Hotel Nice Final Thoughts

The OKKO Hotel here in Nice is a really great place to spend a night or two. It’s especially convenient for getting to and from the NCE airport and Saint Augustin Nice train station.

I wouldn’t stay out here if you’re planning on exploring Nice Ville, but that’s not the goal of the OKKO hotel. The hotel was comfortable and clean. It was also very well outfitted for the two nights we stayed here.

For a couple, the bathroom wall is just fine, however don’t expect a ton of privacy when showering. There’s a room and door for the toilet, but not the shower so choose your roommate carefully.

I’d gladly stay here again.
