In an apparent effort to review every mid market chain hotel in West Chester Ohio, welcome to the Fairfield Inn and Suites. This is my 5th visit to the area and 5th different hotel in West Chester. For whatever reason, there are just a ton of mid end chain hotels at this particular exit off I75 here in West Chester. I chose the Fairfield Inn this week as it was a good price.

The Fairfield Inn West Chester was a good pick for me this week in more than one way. The hotel itself was modern and clean.

Bottom Line: I liked the large room that included 2 TVs, a separate sofa, and sitting area. As an additional fun fact, my rental car broke down on this trip, so because of the Fairfield Inn’s good location, I was able to walk to dinner each night. As with all of the other hotels I’ve visited here in West Chester, I’d stay here at the Fairfield Inn again.

Fairfield Inn West Chester Location

The Fairfield’s location ended up being more important than usual to me. Due to my broken rental car(and Hertz’s incompetence in getting it replaced), I ended up walking to several restaurants in the area. I wouldn’t say there’s anything ground breaking here, but I did appreciate having options other than fast food in the area.

The hotel is right off I-75 about 25 minutes north of Cincinnati proper by car and about 40 minutes from CVG airport down in Kentucky. There’s not much usable public transportation in this part of the world.

Fairfield Inn West Chester Lobby and Check-in

The Fairfield Inn here in West Chester is very new, the lobby shows it too. I checked in quickly and got my room key. My rental car had broken down so I spent a little more time than normal in the lobby waiting for a replacement and a tow truck.

The lobby had a nice sitting area with a fire place. No fire in July.

In the lobby there was a selection of drinks and snacks to purchase.

Fairfield Inn West Chester King Room Review

I walked into my room and I was pretty surprised at how large it was.

The room at the Fairfield is divided into two areas. When walking in, the first section is the bed room. Then back towards the window is more of a sitting area with a sofa and coffee table.

The bed was very comfortable and clean. The pillows were not my favorite though, not bad or anything, I just prefer a firm feather pillow. Both sides of the bed had outlets for charging devices.

Across from the bed is a nice large TV and a luggage stand.

In the living room area, there was a second TV along with a desk. Being a work trip I did make good use of the desk and liked that there was an outlet just above the desk that also had USB ports.

Right next to the window was the sofa and coffee table. I really like when hotel rooms have a second space to sit other than the bed.

Towards the door is a closet that also includes bedding for the sofa that pulls out into another bed.

Fairfield Inn West Chester Room Amenities

Next to the closet and near the front of the room is a small kitchenette. There’s a microwave on the top.

In the middle there is a coffee machine and at the bottom is a mini fridge. So maybe calling this a kitchenette is being a little too generous.

Fairfield Inn West Chester Bathroom

Like the rest of the room, the bathroom was very large at the Fairfield. It’s also very clean.

I liked the shower, but I’m not a fan of the liquid body wash or the shampoo, but that’s why I bring my own.

Fairfield Inn West Chester Room View

It’s a Fairfield Inn of suburban Ohio, the view isn’t amazing. It’s just parking lots because again, suburban Ohio.

Fairfield Inn West Chester Breakfast

Like all Fairfield Inn hotels, West Chester offers a free hot breakfast. Nothing fancy or groundbreaking here.

There are some cold options too.

Pastries and juices too. But again, it’s not amazing. Just breakfast.

Because I’m boring, I had Honey Nut Cheerios.

Fairfield Inn West Chester Final thoughts

So this is my 5th hotel here in West Chester. I would gladly stay here at the Fairfield Inn. It’s a nice little hotel that has a few things going for it. Mostly the location, if you want to be able to walk to anything, this is probably the better hotel in the area. The options aren’t great, but when your rental car dies, it’s nice to walk and get some dinner.

I liked the large rooms that were divided into two distinct spaces. Having a space for relaxing and a different space for sleeping is always appreciated, two TVs is a little over the top for such a small space, but I liked it. The room and bathroom were also spotlessly clean. I think this is a newer hotel and I think they did a nice job. The free breakfast isn’t the buffet and Caesars, but it’s adequate for the class of hotel this competes as.
