As we continued on our Mediterranean vacation we enjoyed a few nights at the Teku Boutique Hotel in Bari Sardo on Sardinia. The Teku Hotel is a very small hotel but gets all of the details right. We’ve been staying at lots of boutique hotels on this trip and I’ve really enjoyed it. The front desk staff knows who you are and will make great recommendations for things to do and places to eat.
We really enjoyed our stay here at the Teku Hotel. The rooms were very nice, the breakfast was a great way to start the morning, and Bari Sardo is a cute little small town near the coast. Exploring little towns and villages is a completely different type of vacation from the large cities. It’s something that we’ve been doing more of all around the world. While it does take more effort, places like the Teku Hotel show that it’s absolutely worth the effort.
The Teku Hotel in Bari Sardo is relatively new and it shows. Everything is clean and well polished. Anyway let’s get into this hotel review.
Teku Hotel Bari Sardo Location

The Teku Hotel is in a small town called Bari Sardo on the eastern coast of Sardina. This area is about 2 hours south from Olbia and 2 hours north of Caglari. Just to the north is the Baunei coast with it’s amazing beaches.
In the town of Bari Sardo are nice little restaurants and cafes along with grocery stores to supply beach adventures. The Teku Hotel is on the main street heading into town, just note, it’s a one way street.
Teku Hotel Parking

As this is a small hotel, the only parking is street parking. We never had an issue getting parking right out front or just a few minute walk away. You’ll need/want a car in this area, there’s a lot of places to explore and the best way is with a very small car.
This Opal was almost too big for some of the small streets of Bari Sardo, I’d much rather have had a Fiat 500 like on previous trips. For information about driving in Italy, check out my travel guide.
Teku Hotel Check-in

We parked out from of the Teku Hotel and we were greeted by the very friendly clerk. He checked us in and told us about the area, breakfast, and how to get to our room. We’re on level 1(second floor).

While there is an elevator, there are also stairs in the middle of the building, we just used the stairs as it’s easier and faster. We found our room on the front of the building.
Teku Hotel Room Review

We walked into the single bed room and we were very happy with the decision to stay at the Teku Hotel. The rooms are not huge, but plenty of space for the two of us and our things.

Outlets on both sides of the bed along with the controls for the lights. I like this cactus art on the wall.

There’s not a ton of room, my pelican is a legal carry on so to give some scale of the walking area around the bed. Plenty of space.

Opposite of the bed was a closet to hang our things, a small desk, and the TV. Like I said, not a very large room, but just what we needed.

Induvial air conditioning units here at the Teku. These had remotes like most mini split units. We’d leave this off during the day when out exploring but it would quickly cool off the room when we arrived back at the hotel.
Teku Hotel Bathroom Review

The bathroom was very nice and well stocked too. I really liked the tile that they chose for the bathroom.

I enjoyed the shower area here. Nice stand up shower with glass not a curtain.
Teku Hotel Balcony

On of my favorite parts of the room was the balcony that was near the bed.

The balcony was a great place to relax for a few minutes in the morning or in the afternoon after getting cleaned up for going to dinner. Bari Sardo is a cute little town.
Teku Hotel Breakfast

In the mornings you have the option of eating inside or outside in the courtyard. We obviously chose to eat outside in the beautiful Sardinian sunshine.

The selection is a buffet of cold options.

I very much enjoyed the apple cake that was available.

I’m not usually one for hotel breakfasts, but eating outside before our days here on the Baunei Coast was perfect.
Teku Hotel Final Thoughts
I really loved our say here at the Teku Hotel in Bari Sardo. This is not a huge town, it’s very small, yet this hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed at in a long while. Everything was just perfect, the room, the staff, the breakfast, and the location. Parking right out front is easy and fast, just remember it’s a one way street.
Boutique hotels can be very hit or miss, they all usually have charm but they are rarely this polished. If I had to say anything negative, there’s no swimming pool here, but really you’re a 10 minute drive from the Mediterranean, who needs a pool here.
The staff was great with restaurant recommendations and offering to make reservations if needed. The restaurant I Tre Mori was one of these great recommendations, we were told it’s the best in town, and it was one of the best meals we had the whole trip.
I would gladly stay here at the Teku Hotel again!
