Hotel Review: Hampton Inn and Suites Omaha Southwest-La Vista. This week I’ll be in the Omaha area again. And like Last time, I won’t be downtown.
This week in Omaha is a little different than last time, I’ll be staying at and reviewing the Hampton Inn Omaha La Vista. On a previous trip to this area, I stayed at the Embassy Suites, and while the room was huge, I really could not stand the soft water. So for the most minuscule of reasons, on this trip, I decided to move across the street to the Hampton Inn. I know it sounds strange, but I cannot stand soft water, the soap literally doesn’t wash off.
Anyway, let’s get into this Hampton Inn Omaha Review.
Hampton Inn Omaha La-Vista Location

The Hampton Inn La-Vista is far from Omaha. It’s way out of town and is not a hotel that you would stay at if unless you’re visiting the immediate area. The La Vista Conference Center is right across the street so this Hampton would be a great option. There are a few restaurants in walking distance too.
Hampton Inn La-Vista Exterior and Check In

I arrived on a rainy, dark evening. At least it’s not cold. I used the Hilton App so I didn’t stop at the front desk for Check-in I went right to my room. Hilton really does a good job with that and the other major hotel brands need to catch up.
Hampton Inn Omaha La-Vista King Room Review

I walked into the Hampton Inn and was greeted by hooks on the right and the closet on the left. I’m pretty sure this an older hotel that has been remodeled.

One king bed. It has the exact same headboard as the Hampton Inn Charlotte Airport. Plenty of outlets and a real alarm clock. This room is also well lighted, that’s not super common in hotels these days.

Across from the bed is a nice large TV. There’s also a small luggage rack. The luggage rack is much better than a dresser, putting cloths away in a hotel is a little weird to me.

At the end of the TV stand was a desk with a coffee maker. I didn’t use the coffee maker but the desk was useful for doing some work while I was here.

Under the TV was a small fridge. I also used this for some leftovers and keeping my water bottle cold overnight.
Hampton Inn La-Vista Omaha Bathroom

I liked the bathroom here at the Hampton. It was clean and bright. It’s also in really good shape and well stocked.

The bathroom had a stand up stall shower instead of a tub, big fan of this.
Hampton Inn La-Vista Omaha View

The view from the Hampton Inn La-Vista room’s is unremarkable. But this hotel is absolutely being renovated, most of the supplies are in the parking lot. At least there was zero construction noise.
Hampton Inn La-Vista Omaha Breakfast

Like all Hampton Inns, free breakfast was included. I’m not a huge breakfast person so I usually just got yoghurt or fruit.

The buffet was very will stocked thought. Lots of options and of course coffee available at all hours.
Hampton Inn La-Vista Omaha Final Thoughts
The Hampton Inn La-Vista is a good hotel. It was clean, quite, and comfortable. That’s everything I’m looking for when booking a work trip. I much preferred this hotel over the Embassy Suites that’s across the street. I like the clean and modern bathrooms and that the water actually washed the soap off.
The rooms were large and bright. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of outlets to charge my devices. While I didn’t take full advantage, the breakfast offering is very good. There was also an evening reception in the lobby so a free drink is always nice. The few restaurants in the area are adequate but nothing amazing.
The bottom line is I’d gladly stay here again, if I needed to be in the area.
