I’ve been to Austin several times over the last few years. My best friends live there so we end up visiting often. The good thing is that Austin, in my opinion, has the second best Delta Skyclub in the system. I’ve lightly reviewed the Austin Delta Skyclub, but I figured I have enough pictures now to do a complete review of the Skyclub.
The Delta Skyclub here in Austin is relatively new. It’s a large space that was created when Delta really upped their presence in Austin. It’s a competitive market, United and American also operate lounges here at Austin. Delta really has stepped up their game when it comes to the new lounges. Austin and Salt Lake City are easily my favorite Skyclubs and they both have a similar feel. Obviously SLC is bigger, it’s a major hub, but Austin is no slouch.
Anyway, let’s get into this Austin Skyclub Review
Austin Airport Delta Skyclub Location

The Austin Skyclub is next to gate 2. This is basically at the end of the terminal and very easy to find. The Skyclub is on the second floor, there are both stairs and an elevator.
Delta uses gates near here so the walk is short when the time to board your flight does arrive.
Austin Delta Skyclub Space

After checking in at the Skyclub front desk, to the left is a seating area with the buffet. There are lots of tables and chairs. The view from here is also great as it covers most of the runways.

To the right of the check in desk is the bar and lounge area. Plenty more seating back around the bar along with some self service soft drinks and water.
The AUS Skyclub is big, I think it’s the largest I’ve visited outside of a Delta hub.
Austin Delta Skyclub Buffet

Depending on what time you visit the AUS Skyclub, the meal choices will vary. At breakfast times, expect some sort of hot egg option. Later in the day often has a taco option along with hot pasta. There’s also always a cold selection of meats, cheeses, salads, and soup.
Of course there’s usually a desert of some kind, I’m partial to cookies.
Austin Delta Skyclub Skydeck

Ok, so this is why I think this is my second favorite Skyclub. The AUS Skydeck is awesome! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, all airport lounges should be outside. I love that Delta is adding an outdoor space to their Skyclubs.

Lots of different seating options, there’s a large hightop with stools. Plenty of soft chairs and sofas. Then there are also bistro tables to enjoy a light meal. Overhead there are fans for the summers and heaters for the winters. It just wouldn’t be a Delta Skyclub review without a Skydeck.

The view from outside at the AUS Skyclub is great too. Perfect place to come and watch some planes while waiting on a flight.
Austin Skyclub Seating

Behind the bar is a large seating area. There are a few different seating areas, this is also where the bathrooms are located.

There are mostly lounge chairs in this space, but there are also some tables and then low top bar seating that faces the windows.

Most of the seating here has power provided within arms reach.

We settled into some of these seats when waiting for a flight back east.
Delta Austin Skyclub Final Thoughts
The Austin Skyclub is fantastic. The service is friendly, the food is good, and the space cannot be beat. I love coming here. The space is also nearly new so the furnishings are in great condition and very trendy. I’m glad I finally had enough pictures to put together a full review.

Austin is proud of how weird it is. Even here in the Skyclub the unofficial city slogan holds true. I’m not one to arrive early for a flight, but if I do, the AUS Skyclub is a great place to kill some time before departure.
