While working in West Chester PA, I’ve been staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Exton. Suburban Pennsylvania isn’t the most exciting place and I’m here for work. We’re working long hours this week so I didn’t spend a lot of time exploring the area but the hotel was nice enough for my needs.
Hilton Garden Inn hotels are marketed as a slightly upmarket brand. Not quite as high as a Hilton but higher than a Hampton Inn. As such, the Hilton Garden Inn Exton West Chester has a bar and restaurant, but doesn’t have a free breakfast. This is standard for the Hilton Garden Inn Brand. This hotel was remarkable similar to the Hilton Garden Inn West Chester Ohio that I stayed at a few months ago.
Bottom Line: I enjoyed my stay here a the West Chester Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel is not exciting, but it’s clean, comfortable, and quiet. The rooms were large and the location was good for both take out restaurant options along with full service options. If I return to West Chester, I’d stay here again.

Hilton Garden Inn Exton West Chester PA Location
The Hilton Garden Inn Exton West Chester is located about 2 miles north of Exton Pa. This is right at the intersection of I76(PA Turnpike) and PA100. In the area there are a couple old school pizza shops for takeout. Near to the hotel, there is an area called Wellington Square. This is a small (fake) town square area with a few restaurants and bars. You can’t really walk here from the Hilton Garden, but once here, there are plenty of places to choose from.
Hilton Garden Inn Exton West Chester PA Lobby and Check-In
I parked out front of the hotel, they have designated Diamond HHonors parking spaces. Might as well use them now, I’m unlikely to re-qualify for next year. One thing to note, I had a sweet Alfa Romeo as a rental car, I’m no obsessed and have been shopping for a Gulia lately.
I used the Hilton App to receive a mobile room key and didn’t need to stop at the front desk. In the lobby there was a small shop with drinks and snacks. Beyond that is the restaurant and bar. This is the area where breakfast is served in the mornings. I didn’t partake.
Hilton Garden Inn Exton King Room Review
This Hilton Garden Inn is a middle aged hotel, but has been well cared for. The room isn’t anything ground breaking, but was very clean. On the right is the bathroom, the left has a small fridge and microwave, beyond that is the bedroom area.
The king bed was clean and comfortable. There are outlets on both sides of the bed to charge devices.
Near the window was a desk, this being a work trip I made good use of this space.
Opposite of the desk, between the window and the bed, is a sitting chair with ottoman. I mostly used this area as a luggage rack and area to put on shoes.
Opposite of the bed was the TV with TV stand. You can also see that this room is an adjoining room. I usually avoid these rooms, but that’s all that was available.
Near the front door there is a closet. I used this to hang up my shirts so I can negligently avoid ironing them in the morning.
I’m a sucker for an alarm clock. I really liked this one, it had a built in wireless charging pad. I really hope these start to become more common. Unlike the one at the Resorts World Conrad, the one here at the Hilton Garden Exton didn’t sequel and whine with a phone on it.

Near the front of the room is a mini-fridge that I used to keep leftovers.
At the top there is a microwave along with a Kerig coffee machine, ice bucket, and cups.
Hilton Garden Inn Exton Bathroom
The bathroom was pretty normal, nothing over the top or outlandish. I did like that the shower is a stall shower instead of a tub.
One thing to note, the toiletries are bulk from dispensers, I know that really bothers some people. Just bring your own if you care.

The view from my room isn’t anything amazing. Across the parking lot is a Spring Hill Suites, maybe next time…
Hilton Garden Inn Exton West Chester Final Thoughts
If you’re in the Exton/West Chester Pennsylvania, the Hilton Garden Inn is a great choice. I stayed here for 4 nights and I was able find something decent for dinner each night. My personal favorite was a cheese steak from VIP Pizza and Pasta. The location is convenient for people visiting the Exton PA area.
While I cannot comment on the bar, restaurant, or breakfast, being a more full service hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn Does have those options. The Hilton Garden Inn was clean, comfortable, and quiet. There was plenty of parking and the hotel staff was very pleasant. Oddly enough this is the second Hilton Garden Inn West Chester that I’ve reviewed, just in a different state.
If I travel back to the area, I’d gladly stay here again.
