Welcome to the Double Tree Milwaukee Downtown. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and it’s more than enough for a quick trip to Milwaukee. It’s in an area that allows walking to several restaurants, bars, and to the new Fiserv Forum if you want to catch a Bucks game.
Here’s the room, I had a high floor king.

I liked this style of plug near the bed. I also oddly like physical alarm clocks. I don’t use them on the road, but I like to be able to see one.

The TV and dresser area. There is a small fridge inside.

The welcome goodies. The cookies are always warm, I like that.

Finally, the bathroom.

The view from my room was the Downtown Hilton. I’ve stayed there many times too, the lobby and public areas are fantastic but the rooms are getting a bit worn. They are very old, but in a good way. It just needs a good paint and refresh.

It was Halloween when I stayed, they had this setup in the lobby. You could vote for your favorite staff decorated pumpkin. I chose the white one with the black eyes and mouth on the right. It was simple and had a screwdriver stuck in the side and I found that funny.

We also got a small treat in our room from the housekeeper on Halloween. It’s a nice little touch.

Finally on my last day in town, we got lots of snow. I always like the snow while it’s falling, but then I’m very quickly un-amused.

And there it is. Another mostly boring stay at a perfectly adequate hotel. Nothing fancy, noting amazing.
