I closed out my trip to Milwaukee with a set of pretty mundane Delta flights. I guess mundane is about as good as one can expect from a pair short domestic flights.

I walked right from my Lyft ride, to TSA precheck, and through security. 4 minutes tops from door to air-side. I enjoy the Milwaukee airport. Here’s a few little quarks I like.

The recombobulation area just after security.

The disused lower level gates.

Delta Boeing 737-900 Economy Review

Ok, That’s enough MKE. Here’s my ride down to ATL, a Delta 737-900.

This was one of the older 737-900s in the Delta fleet. It didn’t have the split wingtips or large “vertical” style overhead bins. I chose an exit row window seat. Some people like 21A/F, I prefer 19A/C/D/F. Row 21A/F have unlimited leg room due to the missing seat, but the tray table is in the armrest and the video monitor is far away, though they give you a remote. Row 19 has lots of extra leg room, but doesn’t recline. The video monitor is close by. Both are good seats.

Beautiful view of Chicago

An hour and a half later we were landing in warm Atlanta

My next flight is a MD88. GSP gets loads of MD88s and MD90s. We’re starting to get some 320s and 739s now that MDs have started to retire and it appears there is enough traffic to support the larger planes.

Delta McDonald Douglas MD 88 Economy Review

I chose a nice exit row on the 2 seat side of the aircraft. I do like the MDs, 2+3 seating is just better than 3+3.

Lots of leg space in these seats, even with my computer bag and jacket under the seat infront.

Nice day out of ATL and into GSP. No service on this quick flight, it’s only 28 minutes of airtime.

Finally back into GSP

All in, a short, pleasant, on-time, afternoon of flying. Like I said, mundane.
