Our final city we’re visiting in Scandinavia is Stockholm. I chose the At Six Hotel mostly because of it’s location and great reviews. The At Six Hotel is just south of the Stockholm Central Station and is pretty close to the main shopping district.

The At Six Hotel in Stockholm is also a member of the Amex fine hotels collection. I had my annual Amex hotel credit to burn so I figured we splurge a little bit and I booked the At Six for 2 nights. We did the same thing last year at Hilton Molino Stucky Venice, full review here. This included some benefits like late checkout, a $100 credit, and free breakfast. Some things we used, others we didn’t, but we’ll get into that later.

Bottom Line: We really enjoyed our stay here At Six. The hotel was large, the staff was friendly, and the room was fantastic. We even had a great view of the square outside of the At Six Hotel. Outside of the hotel, getting around to the trams, busses, and subway was fast and easy. But because of the location, we mostly just walked. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here At Six Hotel Stockholm again.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Location

The At Six hotel is located very near to Stockholm Centralstation. This is just north of Riksdagshuset (Parliament Building) and Old Town Stockholm is just on the other side of the water. Stockholm is a very walkable city, especially when you start in the center of it. At Six was great because we are close to the train, trams, metro, and just walking.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Lobby and Check In

At Six Hotel Stockholm Exterior

We arrived to the At Six Hotel after dark, Stockholm looks beautiful under this light. The At Six Hotel is easy to find, it’s on a small square with lots of neon lights.

At Six Hotel Stockholm lobby

In the lobby of At Six we were greeted by this large Easter Island-esque statue waiting on the stairs.

We headed towards the right and the check in desk. The very friendly clerk checked us in. She told us about the hotel and what benefits we gained by booking via the Amex Fine Hotels program. Nothing amazing, I wouldn’t go out of my way to book with Amex, but the $200 credit made it worth the effort.

To the left was a wine bar along with the elevator bank. We headed towards the elevators. Never got a chance to check out the wine bar.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Hallway

The hallways here At Six Hotel Stockholm were always clean, quiet, but also a little dim. I understand that’s the goal, but it was a little hard for Val to find here room key in her purse.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room Review

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room First Impressions

We walked into the room here At Six and I was really excited. The room looked fantastic in the mood lighting.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Bed

The At Six Hotel bed was very comfortable, also a king size bed. Not very common in European hotels. Both sides of the bed had individual reading lights.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room

Across from the bed was a TV on the built in desk. The TV was good, it had the ability to cast from your own device.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room

Next to the TV was a desk with an alarm clock. Not sure why you’d but that next to the TV instead of near the bed, but whatever.

At Six Hotel Stockholm In Room bar

In the corner of the room, on the desk, was the in room bar along with glassware.

At Six Hotel Stockholm In Room Coffee

Next to the bed was a Nespresso coffee machine. Val enjoys a nice coffee before going out and At Six had a decent selection.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room

Near the window was a sofa. It mostly turned into a luggage rack for us, but we also used it when sitting down to takeoff/put on shoes.

At Six Hotel Stockholm In Room Light Controls

Next to the bed, below the lights were the room lighting controls. I like when these are near the bed so you can not stub your toe on the way to bed at night.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room Features

At Six Hotel Stockholm In Room Power

The At Six hotel was littered with outlets. That’s great in my mind, these ones were on the desk but there were more on each side of the bed.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Closet

The closet was stocked with robes, a laundry bag, and ironing supplies. We didn’t really use anything from here.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room

We didn’t use the closet here At Six, mostly because of these hooks near the door. It’s winter so we just hung up our coats and scarfs here.

At Six Hotel Stockholm In Room Welcome Treat

There was a chocolate and fruit plate waiting for us in the room here At Six Hotel. It was a nice little treat before going out for dinner.

At Six Hotel Bathroom Review

At Six Hotel Stockholm bathroom

The bathroom At Six Hotel was very nice. It was large and clean just like the rest of the room. I especially liked the heated floors.

The shower was large and pleasant too. The soap and shampoo is the large multi use variety.

At Six Hotel In Room Shopping

At Six Hotel Stockholm In Room Shopping

The in room mini bar and shopping was more extensive here At Six Hotel than most other hotels I’ve stayed at. Probably mostly because I stay at pretty boring hotels.

Under the desk were pull out drawers will chilled beverages and a few more snacks.

Above that were some dry good. From snacks to pantyhose the At Six Hotel has you covered.

The view from the At Six hotel was very good. We overlooked the little plaza decorated for Christmas. It was always very quiet.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room Key

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room Key

The At Six Hotel Room Keys were very unique. They are wood with the At Six logo engraved into them. Just like a normal hotel key with an RFID tag, just wood. I rarely collect hotel room keys, but this one might have come home with us.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Room Service Breakfast

At Six Hotel Stockholm In Room Breakfast

We had our $100 hotel credit to burn so we decided to use it on room service for breakfast. Our Amex rate included breakfast in the restaurant, but we never made it down there.

For our room service breakfast we I had an omelet and Val had a Benedict. Both were very good along side some croissant and coffee. We so rarely do room service and this was a nice treat from the At Six Hotel. Both of our meals were very good and I would gladly do this again. This day we also used the Amex benefit of 4pm checkout, really nice to relax in the morning, get breakfast, explore a little more, get cleaned-up then check out.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Cocktail Bar

At Six Hotel Stockholm Cocktail Bar

On the second floor of the At Six hotel is a really nice cocktail bar. Again our Amex credit applies here too so why not come enjoy a night cap.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Cocktail Bar

Drinks started with an aperitif and snack mix while we looked over the menu. The bar staff with the At Six bar were very good.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Cocktail Bar

The bar was busy but not super crowded. This was a Sunday night so no surprise that it’s a little quiet.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Cocktail Bar

Or drinks arrived and we relaxed and enjoyed the bar. Nice little place, but certainly still a hotel bar. We much prefer bars outside of hotels, but I’m not one to turn down a free drink.

At Six Hotel Stockholm Final Thoughts

The At Six Hotel in Stockholm is a very nice property. The hotel’s location is great for getting to and from the train station along with exploring Stockholm.

Booking via Amex does give some nice benefits like the $100 hotel credit along with the late 4pm check-out. I’m not certain it’s worth the effort without the $200 annual hotel credit.

The At Six Hotel rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. This really is a top end hotel especially when you include all the little features like the welcome snacks. The bathroom was comfortable and I love the heated floors.

At the end of the day, I’d gladly stay At Six Stockholm again.
