Our last location for our Switzerland trip is Interlaken. From Zurich we rented a car and drove here. Yes, there are very good train options, but we wanted a car for some of our activities planned in the area. I wanted a hotel that was centrally located so we could walk around Interlaken without driving, but still had parking available for our rental. We chose the Hotel Bellevue and it ended up being great for this trip.
Bottom Line: Hotel Bellevue Interlaken is a great hotel. Huge rooms, great location, spotlessly clean, and free electric car charging. This was a perfect stay for us.
Hotel Bellevue Interlaken Location
Hotel Bellevue Interlaken is located right in the middle of Interlaken. This is a great area if you want to walk to bars, restaurants, and cafes. The hotel is next to the river that runs through the middle of town and the other side overlooks the mountains so the view is amazing in all directions. If you do arrive by train, the station is about a 10 minute walk, super easy.
Hotel Bellevue Interlaken Check-in and Lobby
The lobby is facing the river, not the road so you walk around the building to check in. Outside you can see the little tables where you can take drinks from the bar. We checked in at the front desk and got our room keys.
The lobby also has a bar area if you want to have a drink in the afternoon or evening. There’s also a bar and restaurant named Goldener Anker right next door. Same owner as the hotel and really great spot for drinks and a meal.
Hotel Bellevue Interlaken Mountain View King Room
We walked into the Mountain View King room and I was really surprised at the amount of space. The room is huge. Ahead you can see the bed room and living area, to the right is the bathroom, between the two is a vanity area.
Into the bed area, there’s a king bed, luggage rack, sofa, and small desk. Across from the bed is the TV and outside you can see the balcony.
The king bed was very comfortable and had two separate comforters. This is very common in Scandinavia but I really love it. Next to each side of the bed was a reading light, small side table, and outlets to charge devices.
Above the bed there was a “Detox” button. This sets all of the lights to a dimmed mood setting. Kinda cute.
In the corner of the room is a small sofa and table. We mostly just used this for putting on shoes because there’s a great outside balcony if you want to sit and relax.
Next to the bathroom there is a little vanity area with a mirror and light. Val liked this for getting ready while I was in the bathroom. Like I said, this room is very large.
On the desk, there’s a small kettle along with tea and instant coffee for those who are interested.
Hotel Bellevue Interlaken Balcony
Our mountain view room had an awesome balcony with double glass doors. Out side there was a small table and chair set. We loved this spot to relax at the end of the day before going out for dinner.
The balcony also had a retractable sun awning. This is electric and provides a ton of shade on the balcony.

As we had chosen the mountain room view and it didn’t disappoint. Another cool thing was watching the paragliders in the afternoons as they came to land at a nearby park.
Hotel Bellevue Interlaken Bathroom
Like the rest of the room, the bathroom at the Hotel Bellevue is huge. It was also spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything we needed.
I especially liked the large walk in shower. Sorry about the awkward reflection in the glass.
Hotel Bellevue Interlaken Parking
Across the street from the Hotel Bellevue is the parking lot. We used our room key to open the gate.
Most of the area is uncovered, but there’s a small covered area. This area has the electric car charger, we had rented an electric car so this was perfect for us.
Hotel Bellevue Interlaken Final Thoughts
I loved the Hotel Bellevue. It really was perfect for this trip. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Our mountain view room was amazing. It really was so much larger and more comfortable than expected. It was also filled with great features like the vanity and the sun awning over the balcony. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer.
We will visit Interlaken again and won’t even look for a different hotel. We’re staying at the Hotel Bellevue.
