At the Singapore Changi Airport Singapore Airlines operates two SilverKris lounges. These are the Singapore Airlines lounge for Business Class passengers. The smaller of the two lounges is the Terminal 2 Lounge. We had a chance to check out this lounge on our way to Thailand on the Singapore Airlines 787-10 in Business Class. This isn’t an over the top luxury lounge like you would usually expect with Singapore Airlines, it’s more functional and quiet than anything else.
Bottom Line: The Singapore Airlines Changi Terminal 2 lounge is nice and well stocked with food and drinks. However, the Terminal 3 Lounge is much larger, nicer, has more amenities, and even better food. (Singapore Airlines Terminal 2 lounge review here) I’d gladly revisit the Terminal 2 Lounge, assuming it’s the one closest to my flight.
SilverKris Lounge Changi Terminal 2 Location

The Singapore Airport is large and has a bit of an odd setup, there’s no security check points until you get to the gate. So after clearing immigration at Terminal 2, look for the Lounges sign. Follow that upstairs. This is in the area of the E gates.

Continuing down the terminal is the entrance to the Singapore SilverKris lounge. We gained entrance with our Business Class tickets.
SilverKris Lounge Changi Terminal 2 Lounge Space

The Terminal 2 Singapore SilverKris Lounge is divided into two main spaces, There’s a main seating area that mostly contains lounge chairs separated by tables.

This area is pretty boring, nothing fancy but the area is certainly clean and quiet.

We settled near the edge of the room. Another thing to notice is the lack of windows or outside view, it does make if feel a little stuffy without any natural light.
SilverKris Lounge Changi Terminal 2 Buffet Area

The other area of the Singapore SilverKris lounge is the buffet area. This has some tables along with the food selection.

The buffet selection is definitely a bright spot in this Singapore Lounge.

There’s a solid selection of both hot and cold items.

Most lounges you can make a meal out of, here it’s better than most, but still not made to order like the Terminal 3 Lounge.

Closing out with the deserts the pastries were a nice little treat.

Something you don’t see a lot of is ice cream in lounges. Singapore does it.
SilverKris Lounge Changi Terminal 2 Drinks and Bar

Like with the rest of the Singapore Lounge, the drinks are all self service. There’s a selection of both soft drinks along with alcoholic offerings.

There was a cold case containing juice, sodas, and beer.
SilverKris Lounge Changi Terminal 2 Final Thoughts
Like I said before, this Singapore Airlines SilverKris lounge is more function than excess. There’s nothing wrong with that, just something to keep in mind if you’re accustomed to the Terminal 3 Lounge. The biggest downside of the lounge is the lack of view and natural light. It’s a little odd to have a lounge(on the 3rd floor), that feels like it’s in the basement.
I’m not a huge fan of lounges that are just one giant space, I prefer when it’s broken up into smaller areas, but at least this Singapore Lounge is clean and quiet. The food selection is good, there are both hot and cold options available at the buffet. There’s also a selection of self service drinks including alcohol. I’ve never found this lounge to be particularly busy, probably a good thing because the space isn’t huge.
I’d go back to the Singapore Terminal 2 Lounge, but only if it was the nearest lounge to my gate, otherwise there are better options.
