I’m heading home from Minnesota and had a little time before my flight down to Asheville. I made my way to the MSP Delta Skyclub here at Concourse G. This Skyclub opened in 2023 and is the largest Delta Lounge here at MSP. I’ve reviewed the other two Skyclubs here at MSP:

MSP Delta Skyclub Concourse F

MSP Delta Skyclub Concourse C

Bottom Line: With a solid selection of food, two bars, a faux outdoor area and tons of space, the MSP Skyclub is a great place to wait for a departing flight. Just watch the time, this lounge is kinda far from the majority of Delta gates.

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Location

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Location

The Delta Skyclub is located in the G Concourse between the G15 and G17 gates. Like I said earlier, this can be a little bit of a walk from the Delta gates in C, D, or E. Concourse F isn’t too far away. The entrance to the Concourse G Skyclub is located on the gate level, there are then stairs up to the second floor.

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Lounge Space

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Lounge

The Concourse G Skyclub is huge, it’s also divided up into lots of different spaces. The main bar is along the left here and a large seating area is to the right.

Looking at the bar from inside the largest seating area. This wasn’t a super popular area to sit, the seating is a little to form over function here.

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Lounge

As you continue towards the back, there is more seating. Most of the seats at the Skyclub have a nice view outside.

There are plenty of different types of seating. This is near the back, behind me is the buffet and self service drink station.

On the opposite side, there is more seating, this is a little more compartmentalized seating. The Skyclubs have started adding phone booth like work areas for people who want to take a call without disturbing others.

Near the buffet, but before the “outdoor” area there is some bistro type seating that would be great for a quick snack.

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Buffet

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Buffet

The MSP Skyclub has a large buffet selection that includes both hot and cold options.

I visited in the mid afternoon and there was a selection of hot items. There’s enough here to make a meal, but nothing super heavy.

For cold stuff, there’s a selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and charcuterie.

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Drinks

If you just want a coffee or soft drink, there is a self service station along the wall parallel to the buffet.

MSP Skyclub Concourse G “Outdoor” Area

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Outdoor Area

Delta has been adding “Skydecks” to their Skyclubs for years now. But this being Minnesota, the weather isn’t always going to cooperate, so here at MSP Delta built an indoor space, that feels like it’s outside. I liked it. It was also the most popular place to sit when I visited. Delta has something very similar at the new LGA Skyclub(Full review here).

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Outdoor Area

This is where I decided to setup. I will commend Delta for having real plates and silverware instead of paper and plastic. The food was only ok, it’s still a lounge.

MSP Skyclub Concourse G “Patio” Bar

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Outdoor Bar

The second bar “outside” on the Skydeck has a good selection of free drinks. Then a smaller selection of top shelf paid options, when compared to the bar inside. With such a large Skyclub, it’s nice to have 2 bars.

MSP Skyclub Concourse G Final Thoughts

I really like the MSP Concourse G Skyclub, it’s huge with a solid buffet and 2 full service bars. Because it’s upstairs, there are lots of windows with great views. While I really enjoy an outdoor space, I understand why Delta can’t really do that here in Minnesota. I appreciate the faux Skydeck.

The only downside of this lounge is that it’s kinda far away from the majority of the Delta gates. I understand there are other Skyclubs in those concourses, but they are smaller and not quite as nice as the one here at Concourse G.

If you have the time, and don’t mind the walk or are departing from Concourse G, the Delta Skyclub here is worth the visit.
