Air France lounges in CDG are consistently good. In the US they are not anything special, but at their home airport in Paris, I really enjoy the experience. I’ve reviewed the Air France Terminal 2F Schengen Area Lounge before and it’s one of my favorite Business Class Lounges. I’ve visited the Air France 2E-M Lounge a few times too, just never done a review.
The Air France Terminal 2E Hall M lounge is a great space to relax for a few hours before a flight. This terminal is separated from the the others and often is used for Air France and Delta flights to the US. It’s all Non-Shengen departures so if you’re leaving Paris and Europe, there’s a good chance that you’ll depart from CDG 2E-M. Like with the rest of CDG, unless you’re departing from this terminal, I really wouldn’t recommend trying to access a terminal just for a lounge.
We gained access to the Air France Lounge via our Skyteam Elite Status. Both Val and I hold Delta Medallion Status so even when were not flying in business class, we can still access the Air France Lounges in CDG.
Bottom Line: The CDG 2E Hall M Air France Lounge is huge, the buffet is extensive, and there’s plenty of seating. If you’re departing from Hall M, you don’t really have any other options, but I’d gladly come visit this lounge again.

Air France CDG Terminal 2E Hall M Lounge Location

The Air France Terminal 2E Hall M Lounge is located in the center of the terminal along the back wall. When you enter the terminal there’s a shopping area with some restaurants and duty free, walk straight back towards the gates. In the middle, between gates M44 and M24 you’ll find the Air France Salon(Lounge).
Air France CDG 2E-M Gates Lounge Layout

The Air France Lounge here at CDG Terminal 2E is huge. You can see the layout and amenities. Most of the area is seating, but there are a few special areas including the Nursery for infants, A spa area, and a shower area. There are also 2 buffet areas, a kids space, and an Air France Help Desk. All in, this lounge is huge.
My favorite areas are the seats by the windows in Area 1 and then the Relaxation space in Area 5. They both have good views of the airplanes and good seating. The Relaxation space also has nice comfy reclined day bed style chairs while the window seats in Area 1 have comfortable chairs along with tables for snacks and drinks.
AF CDG Lounge Area 1 Seating

The window seats in the CDG Air France Terminal 2E Lounge are some of my favorite. The view is great and they have lots of space. These red chairs area also comfortable for sitting while eating.

The rest of Area 1 here at the AF Lounge is a plethora of seating. Some of the seating is a little less useful than others, but it’s a nice space.

There’s lots of natural light in the Air France Lounge here at CDG. The big windows are also a great way to watch the planes.

These seating areas by the windows are for sure my favorite. It’s a great place to see the planes go by and also tables to have a snack on.
AF CDG Lounge Area 2 Main Buffet

The main buffet area at the Air France lounge here at CDG Terminal 2E is well stocked with light to medium snacks. This lounge doesn’t have full meal size items, but you could make a very good sized snack from the items provided.

There was a salad selection, nothing ground breaking. There were also 2 different hot items. A pasta and then also a chicken dish. I didn’t have either as I wasn’t that hungry and we’d get a meal on our upcoming flight.

There was also a selection of cold items like yogurt, cheeses, charcuterie, and fruit.

And being France, there’s a really fantastic selection of breads. I would recommend the miniature baguettes or the pain au chocolat for something sweet.

There’s a self service coffee, soft drink, and beer selection.

There’s also a wine and champagne selection. I enjoyed my wine with a little cheese and bread. Nothing fancy, just a nice snack.
AF CDG Lounge Area 3 Snack Area

As you can see, when we visited the Lounge, it wasn’t very busy. It was pretty late in the day and we were the last flight to leave from this terminal for the day. You can see the small snack buffet in the right hand side here. The first time Val and I visited this lounge nearly 10 years ago, we thought that was the whole buffet selection, it wasn’t until after sitting for an hour that we found the main large buffet.
AF CDG Lounge Area 4 Business Area

I’m not sure I’d call this a business work area, but I guess it does have a conference table and more formal chairs.
AF CDG Lounge Area 5 Relaxation Area

This is also one of my favorite areas to relax in. It’s very appropriately named the Relaxation Area. If you have a few hours to kill, I’d highly suggest grabbing a comfortable chair and having a little rest.

The seating here is much more private than elsewhere in the Air France Lounge. Unfortunately the chairs are low so you won’t be able to see that sweet Air France A350 waiting outside. Trade offs for sure, but this is a great area.
Air France CDG 2E-M Gates Lounge Kids Area

I know that kids in an airline lounge can be a little bit of a contentious topic. I think Air France does it right here at CDG. There’s a dedicated area for kids. It has smaller chairs and some kids toys for them to keep occupied with. There’s even PS4s for kids(or adults) who want to use it.
Air France CDG 2E-M Gates Lounge Review Final Thoughts
The Air France CDG 2E Lounge is fantastic. Air France always does such a nice job with their lounges here at CDG. This Air France lounge for Non-Schengen flights is perfect for killing a few hours between flights. Just note, that it’s only for passengers who are leaving the Schengen area. You won’t have access to this terminal if you’re flying a Schengen flight. At CDG, it’s certainly not worth the effort to change terminals for a lounge, even if they would let you.
The Air France lounge is comfortable and quiet. It has a decent food and drink selection along side good views of the various aircraft. The lounge is also huge so you’ll easily find a place to relax.
