A Delta Skyclub in the last frontier, not exactly roughing it here in ANC. I’m actually pretty excited about this Skyclub review, I enjoyed this one way more than I should have.
Update: The ANC Delta Sky Club Popup has closed and there are not plans at this time to re-open.
Delta Air Lines at Anchorage airport is interesting. Delta is the second largest passenger airline at ANC, after Alaska. Delta also offers year round service from ANC to several Delta hubs. Before arriving at ANC, I was researching the lounge situation. I knew we’d have a little time to kill after checking our bags and wanted somewhere nice to relax before our overnight flight down to Salt Lake City.
After a little research, I found that Delta has what they are calling a “Pop-Up Skyclub” here at Anchorage. I’d never heard of a pop-up Skyclub and didn’t know what to expect. When we were checking our bags, I asked about this Skyclub, the super friendly agent told me how to get there, I have a step by step guide for the Skyclub Location here at ANC as it’s a little bit hidden.
Bottom Line: The Anchorage Airport Popup Skyclub is a great place to relax for a few minutes before a departing flight. There is a bar, snacks, and it’s more comfortable than sitting at the gate. But don’t expect anything too crazy.
Anyway, let’s get into the ANC Skyclub Review.
Date of visit: September 2022
Update: Summer 2024
Anchorage Delta Skyclub Location
The Anchorage Delta Skyclub is on a mezzanine level between the B and C Gates in the South Terminal. Getting here was a little confusing as it’s a “Pop Up Skyclub.” Here’s a picture guide how to get to the ANC Skyclub.

After clearing security, look right. Between the B and C gates is what’s labeled as an “Observation Deck.” This is where the Delta ANC Pop-Up resides. Here’s where it’s a little confusing. There are two entrances, but you can only use one. On the left in the picture above there is a set of stairs and a sign that say Skyclub, this entrance is closed and you cannot use it. Keep walking to where it says “Elevator.”

Behind the elevator, is where the entrance to the Skyclub is. You can take the stairs or elevator up to the mezzanine level. You can see one sign that says “Delta Sky Club Pop-Up” follow that way.

Once upstairs things are pretty straight forward. Walk across the bridge into the Skyclub. We checked in with the very friendly agent and got settled in.
Anchorage Delta Skyclub Space Review

The Skyclub here at ANC isn’t huge, but it’s a pretty nice space. Directly back is a theater area with comfy chairs and a big screen to watch.

To the left is some seating with tables along the balcony edge. We settled in over here in the chairs. There’s also power here to charge devices.
Anchorage Delta Skyclub Buffet and Snacks

The Anchorage Skyclub doesn’t have hot food, just a cold case with some snacks. I found this plenty adequate as we had just eaten dinner before coming to the airport. There are some sandwiches, salads, and deserts. Along with soft drinks and water.

There’s also some packaged dry snacks and fruit. So nothing amazing, but for a pretty remote outstation, I found it nice.
Anchorage Delta Skyclub Bar

Back towards the front of the Skyclub is the bar. Nothing huge but they had a few local drafts. There’s also a coffee and tea self service station.
Anchorage Delta Skyclub Final Thoughts

The Anchorage Skyclub Popup is a nice little space to kill an hour before a flight. It’s nothing amazing, but for being in the last frontier, there are plenty of amenities. One thing it’s missing though is a bathroom, there’s no bathroom inside the Skyclub here at Anchorage. There is one on the mezzanine level, it’s about a 2 minute walk.
Our seats near the balcony were pleasant for a little people watching. I enjoyed a beer and a snack while charging my phone. There’s not anything substantial to eat, but that’s ok.
The ANC Skyclub wasn’t busy when we were there, lots of seats and plenty of space. It was a very late departure though, the last Delta flight of the day from Anchorage. It might be a little busier when the larger planes are leaving for ATL.
This Skyclub certainty meets the Pop-up definition. I enjoyed it and wonder if delta will expand this concept to other airports that are not large enough for a full Skyclub but busy enough to warrant.
