So I’m going to Cookeville Tennessee for the next few weeks and because I’m weird, I don’t often like staying at the same hotel back to back. Makes it feel like a chore. So instead I’ll be staying at a few different hotels. The first hotel review is the Hampton Inn Cookeville. When checking out hotels for this trip, there are lots of options in the Cookeville area. I chose the Hampton Inn based on the good reviews and it’s proximity to where I’d be working.

A Hampton Inn in Cookeville TN is not a particularly amazing destination, but it’s where work calls. I’ve never been to Cookeville so this is an all new experience for me. Anyway, let’s get into this hotel Review.

Hampton Inn and Suites Cookeville Tn Location

The Hampton Inn Cookeville is right off of I40. This is a pretty standard freeway hotel that is surrounded by chain restaurants and other hotels.

Hampton Inn Cookeville Tn Hotel Lobby and Check In

Walking into the Hampton Cookeville to the left is the front desk. I checked in at the desk as my mobile key didn’t work for whatever reason.

Straight ahead is the lobby sitting area. This is also the sitting area for breakfast in the morning.

Regular signage directing people where they need to go.

There’s also a back door to the rear parking lot. I used this door a few days when I parked here as the front parking lot often was full.

Hampton Inn Cookeville Tn Room Review

Walking into the rooms here at the Hampton Inn Cookeville. I will say I do like the carpet. I know they use dark carpet with lots of patterns to hide stains, but I do like this.

There’s a pretty standard desk, TV stand, and chest of drawers combination. I didn’t use the desk for much work, but I did eat some late night takeout.

Inside is a mini-fridge. I do appreciate having the ability to keep leftovers or water cold.

On the opposite wall is the single king sized bed. The bed here at the Hampton Cookeville was very good, however I didn’t like the pillows.

Along the same wall was also a sofa. I pretty much just used this as a luggage rack.

The night stands had multiple power options on both sides of the bed.

There’s also a full sized closet. These seem to have fallen out of favor and I’m not sure I miss them.

Hampton Inn Cookeville Tn Bathroom

The bathroom at the Cookeville Hampton was pretty standard for a modern Hampton. It was also nice and clean.

Always welcome a shower instead of a tub. Again, not fancy, but it’s a Hampton Inn.

Hampton Inn Cookeville View

From the front of the hotel, the view is whelming. The freeway, a gas station, and a few fast food restaurants.

Hampton Inn Cookeville Tn Breakfast

In the mornings, Hampton Inn’s all have free breakfast. I’m not a huge breakfast person so I usually just grabbed a piece of fruit or a yoghurt.

Coffee was also available.

Hampton Inn Cookeville Review Final Thoughts

The Hampton Inn Cookeville is clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was just what I needed for my few nights here in Cookeville. This isn’t the most amazing destination, and while I’d usually choose to stay downtown, being out here by the freeway was easier for the work that I was doing this week.

This hotel felt like an older building that was refurbished. I like that, the older buildings seem to be a little more quiet than the newer ones. This Hampton had a decent breakfast spread and plenty of parking. I wish the in-app check-in worked as designed, but it seems a little hit and miss.

All in, this Hampton Inn Cookeville was perfectly pleasant.
