This will be week 2(of 4) that I’ll be spending in Orlando. As I’ve said in the past, I don’t like Orlando. At the time, I thought this would be my last week, I was wrong. Future James knows.

Anyway, this part of the journey will look almost exactly the same as last week. Same flights, planes, and airports. This is called Kinda Boring Travel for a reason. For a little bit of a mix up I’ll be flying Southwest home, but for now, this will look very familiar.

GSP Airport

Welcome back to GSP for another morning flight.

No shots of security this morning, but as you could expect, there was zero line. It’s just one continuous motion from car to security to gate.

Boarding was in progress when I arrived. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I don’t like waiting in airports. If that means I’m late to flights every so often, so be it.

Delta 717 Exit Row Review

Another Monday, another 717. Tons of leg room in these seats.

I was one of the last people to board, I didn’t have an issue with my luggage as Delta is still blocking seats. I really appreciate this and continue to search out Delta flights for this reason.

Little wet out this morning. The A320 leaves for ATL in about an hour.

All prepped and ready to go. We’re taking off to the South-East today, this saves a ton of time on this flight.

Nice view of GSP’s A terminal. Weather is a little bleak this morning. Not really surprising, it’s late September.

Above the clouds it was beautiful. Nice and smooth day for flying.

Not much to report about a 28 minute flight that I’ve flown hundreds of times. Soon we came into ATL.

At the gate next to a super stretch 737-900. Those are really a silly plane, I understand why they exist, but I’m not a fan.

ATL Airport Transfer

Into the terminal I had a somewhat leisurely connection to make. I was heading to the B terminal and had just over an hour, lots of time.

Down the escalator to the train.

Once downstairs I decided to just walk. The train was kinda crowded and I was only going a single concourse. The tunnel between A and B has this cool decorated ceiling. It’s not as good as the A-B/C tunnel in DTW, but it’s way better than places like LAX.

And gate change announcement. Anyway, I didn’t take a picture, but I turned around and walked right back to the A terminal. Happens.

Right across from where I started. Anyway, let’s go to Orlando.

Delta 757 Exit Row Review

Still cloudy on this Monday morning.

Power in each seat and plenty of leg room in the exit row. I’ve sat in this seat hundreds of times. The second exit row is better than the first, it actually reclines and isn’t bolt upright.

Entertainment in every seat. The 757s got the bookshelf style overhead bins when they were refurbished, I’m a big fan.

Nice little 717…

Goodbye Georgia, I’ll see you in a few days.

Once airborne, they passed out snacks. I really like this concept on these short flights, I hope it sticks around post COVID.

My favorite airplane snack, cheez-its and water. It’s everything I want.

Not the best day on the way into Orlando.

And on the ground here in Florida.

And out into the world.

Final Thoughts

Another week in Orlando and another trip involving Delta 717s and 757s. Perfectly on time and pleasant. It’s all very boring.
