When leaving Riga, Val and I stopped into the Primeclass Business Lounge here at Riga. The Riga airport as a whole is very modern and pleasant. I’ve grown to like the Baltic countries and can’t wait to come back. We’re flying to Amsterdam on Air Baltic, I didn’t review the flight because I reviewed the Air Baltic A220 flight on the way here.

Bottom Line: The Primeclass Lounge isn’t amazing, but it’s a quiet little space with a buffet and bar. Obviously this isn’t a destination lounge, don’t get to RIX early just to “enjoy” the lounge, but if you have a few minutes to kill, it’s worth the visit.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Location and Access

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Location

The Primeclass Business Lounge here at RIX is located in the Schengen area of the airport after security. At gate B1 there is a set of stairs that takes you to the second floor where the entrance to the lounge is located.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Entrance

We used our priority pass membership to access the lounge, but they also sell day passes. You can use this lounge if you have a non-Schengen flight, but you’ll need to leave time for passing through immigration.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Space

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Space

The Primeclass lounge is made up of 2 rooms. The largest of which is along the windows and has a great view of the planes outside. The bathrooms are halfway down on the right.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Space

The seating is simple but comfortable. We settled into some chairs by the window. At the far end of the room is the bar, on the left is the buffet.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Seating

I like that the majority of the seating has tables for snacks and drinks. One notable omission is there are few charging ports for devices.

The other room is overlooking the terminal. I’m not sure why, but no one was sitting in here. Seemed like a nice enough space, but I guess most people like to be in the main area.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Luggage Storage

There is a set of lockers for luggage storage near the front entrance of the lounge.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Plane Model

I’m a big fan of all of the plane models that were located on top. Air Baltic has special liverly planes for all of the Baltic states.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Buffet

The buffet was nothing special, we were here at breakfast time so I’m not sure what the lunch or dinner options looks like. For breakfast there was a cold spread, nothing fancy.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga breakfast

I went with some cereal. I don’t much care for these early morning flights, means I don’t get to enjoy breakfast out. I still wanted to eat something before our flight though.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Bar

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Bar

The lounge had a self service bar at the very end of the room. This honestly looked pretty well stocked. Several draft beer options, a few liquors(including Black Balsam), wine, and Jagermeister(gross).

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga View

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga View

The view from the windows is pretty good. It’s still dark out for this flight. We got a nice view of the Lithuania Flag liverly Air Baltic plane.

Primeclass Business Lounge Riga Final Thoughts

The Primeclass Business Lounge isn’t amazing, but it’s a nice spot to relax before a flight. If you’re flying within the Schengen area, stopping here is quick and easy. You could technically use the lounge for a Non-Schengen flight, I’m not sure I’d recommend it.

The seating is nice and the view outside is always welcome. The buffet provided at breakfast is pretty light on options, more snacks than anything else. The bar is self service and pretty nice, but it was 7am so I didn’t try anything.

At the end of the day, I liked this lounge for what it is.
