My favorite major hub airport is the Detroit Airport. Mostly because Delta’s McNamara Terminal here at DTW is just a very pleasant place. McNamara terminal is also home to 5 Skyclubs. DTW is divided into three terminals, with A being the largest(with 4 of it’s own Skyclubs) and B/C sharing a building and Skyclub. The DTW Concourse C Skyclub is an old Northwest WorldClub and the style shows, not bad, just very distinctive in comparison with the modern Delta style. One thing to note, due to it’s location, this Skyclub covers travelers from both the B and C Concourse, they are connected.

The DTW C Concourse Skyclub is very large. If you’re flight is departing from the B or C concourse, don’t feel the need to cross into the A Concourse just to enjoy the a Skyclub. The DTW C Concourse Skyclub is a really nice place to relax. The food is decent, the bar selection is good, and I think the C Skyclub has the best views of any Skyclub here at DTW. I enjoy my trips here, I wish I could transit DTW more, The good, and uncrowded, Skyclubs are a big reason for that.

DTW B and C Concourse Delta Skyclub Location

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Location

The Concourse C Skyclub here at DTW is located right at the entrance to the B/C Concourse. Just after exiting the tunnel turn right into the C Concourse and you’ll see the entrance to the Delta Skyclub. If you’re departing from the B or C Concourse, this is the Skyclub you’ll want to use.

DTW B and C Concourse Delta Skyclub Space

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub

After checking in at the desk, I walked into the main area of the lounge. The C Concourse Skyclub is large and slightly L shaped.

To the right is a hallway with the bar and buffet at the end, the bathrooms are also halfway down this hallway.

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Seating

To the left of the Skyclub, looking down the clubbed foot of the “L” is lots of seating. This is all divided into nice manageable areas unlike other lounges that are just one huge room.

DTW B and C Concourse Delta Skyclub Food and Drinks

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Buffet

The DTW Skyclub C Concourse buffet is well stocked, nothing over the top or super fancy. There are often 2-3 hot options, a soup, salads, and then some sandwich offerings. To the right is the bar, these are no longer self service and there’s a bar tender so no picture.

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Drinks

Along the wall in the bar area is the drink station along with the deserts tray.

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Coffee

There’s also a self service coffee area in the main seating area of the DTW Concourse C Skyclub.

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Snacks

There are some snack stations in the lounge

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Seating

Near the entrance to the Delta Skyclub are some seating areas, these are somewhat secluded and often very quiet areas to sit.

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Seating

Along the back wall of the lounge are more seats. Along the wall are bar stools along the window, these are my favorite sets. This is also where you can get a great view of the planes here at the B and C concourse and those waiting at the A Concourse.

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Seating

Lots of little pockets of seats in the Concourse C Skyclub. I really like this instead of one large room that often gets very noisy and feels crowded. Near all of the seating are outlets.

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub Fire Place

Lots of little Northwest WorldLounge features here at the DTW Concourse C Skyclub. The fireplaces are a touch you don’t see in the modern Delta Skyclubs, but if you catch one, you can be sure it was previously a Northwest Lounge.

DTW B and C Concourse Delta Skyclub View

Delta DTW C Concourse Skyclub View

This is my favorite view from the Delta Skyclub here at DTW Concourse C. It’s one of the few areas in the airport that doesn’t have little dots on the windows.

DTW B and C Concourse Delta Skyclub Final Thoughts

The C Concourse Skyclub here at DTW isn’t fancy but I enjoy it. It’s rarely crowded, the food is decent, and the views are great. While it’s not the newest lounge at DTW, I love seeing the old touches that are holdovers from the Northwest days. Lots of diversity in the seating arrangements means that there’s something for everyone in every mood. Low comfy chairs, low top bistro tables in the bar, and then high bar stools are scatter around the well divided space.

I’m never disappointed when I visit the Concourse C Delta Skyclub here at DTW and can highly recommend it.
