For the holidays we’re heading to Florida. Not South Beach, Orlando, or the Keys, we’re heading to North Florida were I grew up.

At the gate we were told there is one first class seat available and we were 1 and 2 on the upgrade list. So we split up and my wife sat up front.

Delta MD88 Comfort Plus Review

Here’s my view from 10E on the Delta MD88. This is a great seat, lots of leg room and on the 2 seat side of the plane. On these short flights Delta Comfort Plus is just some extra leg room. More than enough for the distance.

These seats have USB and 110v power.

Last Delta departure of the day from GSP. I like the outlines of the previously departed planes condensation drip.

The MD88 and the 90 are great planes to ride on. The front is very quiet and the 3+2 seating is much better than 3+3.

We are soon airborne and within site of ATL. This flight is only 28 minutes so no service in the air.

We quickly parked at the gate and we’re into the terminal. Nice and uneventful.

Delta Boeing 717-200 First Class Review

My next flight we both were upgraded to First. And there are 2 seats next to each other, sometimes things just work out. Row 1 on the right hand side of the Delta 717 has these nice feet cutouts, that few extra inches of leg room is nice, though I still prefer non-bulkhead seats.

No in-seat screens on any of the T-Tail aircraft. But there is power and these flights are short. You can also stream free movies to your own device, but I rarely do.

Just about to push back from the gate at ATL.

On the ground Delta has a small water for each person in First. Pre-departure beverages were offered, but I declined.

Overhead units. How much more boring could this be.

In the air I got Cheez-its and a water. I’m still boring. I took this picture with my Pixel 3 with night sight. Usually these turn out better.

Just before landing they turned on the cabin lights and I took a quick bathroom break before the seatbelt light came on.

We are soon on the ground after a 48 minute flight. Perfectly uneventful trip.
